Hello people. I'm here to ask a question that will be probably useless, so be warned !
I'm the type to like to imagine the class I'm playing in the universe and try to imagine their power to the max. When I see fights in the game (Like Jormag/primordius), and the two champions fight like in an intense anime episode (although I appreciate). I can't imagine how classes such as the engineer or the necromancer, the ranger would have this "epic combat" side.
The necromancer I see him manipulating flesh and making flies with a few small skeletal hands. I don't visualize what the shadowform actually is in terms of strength.
The engineer, I don't see him being able to carry all the equipment at the same time, and where the third specialization I can see robot combat, I have trouble with the other two specializations (or the core engineer).
And the ranger well I have trouble imagining his 'power' side. Above all, I see a side to survival in nature and knowledge of animals. If anyone has a better imagination and visual examples to pass on to me where these classes could compete in "raw power duels" with others. (And the purpose is not to make a debate on the power of the classes, in my eyes if the developers have made several classes playable each of them is technically supposed to have access to the same level of "Heroic" side)

So...I've read Kaczynski's book Anti-Tech Revolution: Why and How (2020), and he has pretty much convinced me that the only way for the environment and wild nature to be "sustained" is for the whole technological, industrial civilization to collapse. He basically argues there is a process fundamental to technological growth that makes the destruction of the environment inevitable and there's no way around it other than collapse. Anyone else here agree that technological civilization and nature are totally incompatible?

I'm ok with being single if it means my other option is being with a guy l'm not really into, but I do feel lonely from time to time and l'm worried the type of guy I'm looking for isn't going to come around for a long time. I (21F) genuinely feel like I'm not going to be in a relationship for a long time and it's pretty disheartening. I've never been in a relationship. In high school not many guys wanted to date me and I wasn't really into many guys. I spent that time getting to know myself and what I wanted in a potential partner (confident, witty, strong minded, that I find attractive). Now that l'm in college not a lot has changed even though I hoped it would. I want to be really into a guy and not have to convince myself to be attracted to him. I've spent a lot of time working on myself, I have a flat stomach with abs, I like my makeup and sense of style etc. I've joined clubs and gone to social events, tried online dating, gone on dates, and I feel like l'm just getting nowhere. I've tried online dating but guys want casual hookups. A part of me is worried it's because they don't find me attractive enough but there’s only so much I can do to naturally improve my looks. I’ve asked friends and strangers alike and they have all said the guys I’m looking to date are not out of my league. I cant afford plastic surgery being in college right now. So many guys have trust and commitment issues as well or have some girl in their past that they can’t get over. I just haven't met anyone and l'm feeling pretty frustrated and disheartened. Hi, after getting a Canada greener homes audit, I've been determined to replace an aging (15+ year) old gas furnace with a cold climate heat pump w/ electric backup (part of this exercise is to get off of natural gas entirely, for both cost and environmental reasons). So far I've talked to two installers in my local area (Hamilton, Ontario), which have come up with two different proposals:

• Proposal 1: 36000 BTU Daikin fit (DZ6VSA36), 8kW electric backup - $18.5k before Greener Homes rebate
• Proposal 2: 48000 BTU Moovair unit (DMA48HOS20230E7), 10 kW electric backup - $13k before rebate

As you can see above, they came up with two different sizes and I'm trying to figure out which is more appropriate.
The current furnace is a 60000 BTU gas furnace, during the coldest winter days it was running 9 hours a day (17.5 at night, 20.5 during day). During the audit, the design heating load was measured at 15.60 kW (I think calculated at -15C, which is about how low it would normally get here on the coldest days). We have an older home, but it's already been relatively well insulated. The auditor thinks we could get it to 14.7 with some minor insulation improvements. Going by that number, I *do* get 53k BTU to heat the whole space, which tends to favor proposal 2's sizing.
However, I worry a bit that this is a bit inflated. The audit suggests the floor area to heat is about 2600 square feet, though that includes an unfinished basement which I don't care about heating and an attic which doesn't have any ducting to it (and I don't plan on adding - a small space heater works fine for the small amount of time we use it during the winter). Adding up the square footage of the area I actually want to heat (the rooms with ducting on the first and second floors), I get a number closer to 1400. Maybe one note here is that the ceilings on the first floor are rather high (like 10 feet?).
Any thoughts on this? I have heard that sizing either too large or too small can be a problem.
Less important but still curious, any thoughts on the models here? I am sensitive to cost but I also just want something that will work with little problem over the coming years. It's not out of the question to choose 1 if I'm genuinely getting something a lot better. However, based on my reading on this sub, the Moovair sounds like a perfectly decent unit, except for possibly issues with their proprietary thermostat (I currently use a Nest E, but it sounds like that's not a good match for a modulating heat pump).

Trigger warning - as this might be a crushing question. We’ve had a pedigreed female family dog for about 13 years now (in July it will be 14 years, damn). Throughout her life, she beat all kinds of illnesses and infections and was given the utmost care and quality veterinary treatment.
However, the last few years have been wild. As a part of her aging process, her eyesights gone weak, she has developed partial paralysis on her back legs which the vet said was “inevitable” due to some of her past health problems. She has also lost control of her muscles, causing her to urinate and defecate wherever and whenever (on herself most of the times). When we asked about any kind of treatments or surgery, we were told it would be like magically fixing her health which is at this stage impossible. To prolong what little is left of her life, we gave her organic food and liver tonics (she’s had liver problems in the past).
Our strict parent is getting her frustrated to see her in distress. Can’t say distress because she is eating fine and there’s no visible problem, but distress in the sense that it hurts to see her like this. From an extremely energetic, friendly, protective and playful Lab, she is now unaware of her surroundings, and is living to survive. She barely moves, even while walking.
TLDR; Therefore, just to end my dog’s pain, my parent is considering putting her down.
Now, of course as normal, emotional people, we are totally against it. I must reveal that we are married and away from it so technically it’s not our responsibility as my parent is taking care of it (they’re old). But I’m not sure what to do. So I've read the book Anti-Tech Revolution by Kaczynski, and he basically--convincingly in my opinion--argues that the rational prediction and control of society is impossible AND wild nature and technological civilization are fundamentally incompatible. He basically shows how conservation is a hopeless cause given the continued growth and unpredictable and uncontrollable aspect of technological progress. Anyone else here have similar observations?

2.) If you have something that stops you from growing, can the Strength of Ages perk still make you grow larger?

The Strength of Ages (-600): For some dragons, the stage of Great Wyrm does not stop growth. Even “colossal” may not be able to describe the size you may yet reach. You will not gain any new abilities, but your existing draconic abilities will continue to refine and increase in power ever more. Your scales will become stronger, your physical and intellectual prowess shall continue to grow, your natural weapons will grow sharper and deadlier, your breath weapons will grow ever more powerful and affect larger areas, and you shall grow ever more resistant to hostile magic as your own spells shall grow more potent. This may manifest as either of the following advantages:
 Ritual: You know a ritual that can be performed at any time, on any dragon (including yourself) that will boost you a bit in size and power every time it is performed. The major disadvantage is that the ritual likely includes more difficult to find reagants, but you will be able to find equivalents in other worlds. It won’t be easy, but if you try you will find ways to continue your rituals to continue to boost your own size and natural abilities.
 Endless Advancement: A (fortunately rare) few dragons do not cease growing in stature and power even after they’ve achieved Great Wyrm status. Perhaps through divine ancestry, random mutation, active attempts to grow even greater in power, or possibly from more esoteric causes, these dragons will continue to grow increasingly slowly right up until they enter the Twilight. You are one of these dragons now. You will continue to grow larger, and your natural draconic abilities will continue to improve for as long as you live, even if you otherwise should have stopped growing completely (such as embracing undeath). Should you somehow defy the Twilight and cease to be vulnerable to death from natural causes you will simply continue to grow. Dwarfing mountains and growing even further beyond that is not impossible for you.
3.) Can you take The Dragon of all Colors and None multiple times? If not by the base rules, would it be broken to allow it anyway?

An example of something stopping aging:

Vampiric Dragon (-400): You’re a dragon vampire, converted into an undeathly state. Their advantages are many; they heal unnaturally fast, can assume a gaseous form to evade injury, can charm with words and dominate the minds with eye contact, drain the life from those they touch and drain blood with their fangs, convert those whose blood they drained or energy they totally drained into vampiric spawn slaved to their wills. Unlike a normal vampire, vampiric dragons are tied to their hoard rather than a coffin, nor are they barred from crossing running water or repelled by garlic or mirrors. They still cast no shadow nor reflection. For all this, they come with the weaknesses that exposure to sunlight disorients and eventually destroys them, they no longer naturally grow with age, and driving a stake through their heart will kill them. That said, a vampire the size of a dragon will require a stake the size of a very large spear. Finally, they are still barred from entering homes uninvited (though not barred from simply razing it to the ground).

To begin the first part, you must devour all your possessions, utterly destroying them (though note that you will not suffer ill effects from eating even the most toxic of items). Next, there are three important things you must do to complete this scenario. Failure permanently squanders your chance at deitydom during this jump, though you lose nothing beyond this. First, you must choose a single alignment and be a paragon of its precepts until you ascend. Any major violation of this alignment will cause you to forfeit this scenario and all of its rewards. As a general rule, if it would make a cleric of a god dedicated to that alignment lose his powers, it counts as a major violation. Choosing Neutrality does not allow you to escape this restriction. You must stay loyal to your alignment until the point you achieve true immortality and become a quasi-deity. You will no longer need to eat, sleep, or breathe, and be immune to anything that affects your mind, transmutations or energy drain.

6.) For Io's Heir, do you think it would be too much to say that, if the jumper can somehow get them to make amends, they can take both? Don't want to get too greedy here, but sort of trapped between a rock and a hard place (want to take Tiamat a bit more, but the jumper I have planned isn't evil or a selfish jerk so would probably go Bahamet).

Since their very birth, Tiamat and Bahamut have warred for the position of rightful ruler of all dragons. Bahamut is the benevolent dragon god of Metallic and good dragons in general, while Tiamat is the five-headed Queen of Evil Dragonkind and evil dragons in general. It is your duty, by accepting this scenario, to ensure that one or the other is destroyed. Dead in battle, starved of worship, it matters not. You must destroy either Tiamat or Bahamut and allow the surviving sibling to claim dominion over dragonkind. By utterly destroying one or the other, the grateful other child will agree to come with you on your chain and undiminished despite being cut off from their worship in the D&D multiverse.

7.) I'm guessing killing multiple gets you more element options?

In the World Tree cosmology, the creation of the world was not a gentle affair. From the beginning, godlike entities of chaos and destruction known as Primordials made war upon the world. Io was cut in two by the Primordial King Erek-Hus, the King of Terror. Worse, many dragons were deceived or captured by the Primordials before being twisted and tortured into slaves and near-mindless entities of devastation. Dragons have many grudges to settle against the Primordials. Though the gods ultimately won the Dawn War, many Primordials survived and fled without facing justice. And that is where you come it, for your task is to destroy one of the surviving Primordials and partially avenge the ancient grudge your race bears against them. Should you achieve this near-impossible task, your reward will be to command the power over nature the Primordials could wield and the ability to imbue other creatures with a potent fragment of elemental energy, transforming them into deadlier (but possibly crazier) elemental versions of themselves.

P.s. 8.) Are you able to buy Dragon Of All Colors And None/Monochromatic multiple times? If not, would it break things (even giving up the extra action part) to do so anyway? Sort of considering something like collect all of a category or something. Or having the main 5 metallic and chromatic ones.

The Dragon Of All Colours And None (-600): You have four more heads. Each head is of a different dragon of the same type as yours. For instance, you may have five different colours of Chromatic dragon heads, five different colours of Metallic dragon heads, and so on, though if your dragon type has fewer than five different kinds of dragon within it you will receive four Chromatic heads. Each head is completely controlled by you, and you are as adept in using each head to multitask; potentially five times the actions you could take with only one head. You may use them to, for instance, breathe five layers of breath weapon over someone at once ensuring that without immunity to all common elements they, cast five spells simultaneously, have one head focus on casting spells while the other attack, and similar creative applications of your heads. Note this also renders you immune to death from decapitation unless all five heads are removed.
