2023.06.10 16:11 Most_Big8497 Bluetooth Audio Fuse / Connection Error
Hi, would be very grateful for any help on this! I’m suddenly unable to use Ford Sync- it connects to my phone but doesn’t want to play any audio over Bluetooth or USB, I can only use the radio for audio. I remember last time it did this I took a fuse out and put it back and it fixed it. But now I can’t remember which fuse it was, and I can’t find a manual that has a fuse box that resembles mine. It’s a 2014 zetec btw. Photo of the mess of cables alongside the fuse box included 😅 It sounds like a fairly common issue but I just can’t quite remember the specifics of fixing it Thanks in advance!

2023.06.10 04:33 KJ0797 Hardwiring Redtiger Dashcam in 2023 HRV Sport
I'm trying to hardwire a
Redtiger F&N dashcam with their
hardwiring kit so I can use parking mode. But, I'm not well versed in electrical work and I'm having some trouble with the fuses. Where do I connect the red (ACC) and yellow (B+/constant power) wires?
I'm trying to understand this
table of the fuses (using the interior fuse box). It seems only some of the unused fuse locations have ratings, and how can I tell which are always on and which are not?
Thanks for any help!

2023.06.10 03:49 NA_Karami This Will Fix Construction - Reasonable Building Reparations
Greetings Builders, Devs, Base Destroyers, Planetmans/Womans Of Planetside 2 I will try to keep this as simple and easy to read as possible. To summarize, I have spent an excessive amount of time testing every construction object on live/PTS and have created a list of improvements to a lot of common problems
every single builder has encountered during their time building. This is focused primarily on placement arrows on buildings and mention of module slots or lack thereof. Please note, most images talk about either the arrow placements being changed, module slots being added/moved or a combination of the two.
Walls Rampart Walls + Solid Walls. The new placement arrows are too strict. In this image
RampartWall1 the previous system would gladly accept it. Here is a proposed solution in this image
RampartWall2 . In this image,
SolidWallMeme I have proposed solutions to fix everything regarding the recently added grievances including the new attachment to the back of solid walls.
ImpossibleWall +
ImpossibleWall2 Bulwark Walls. This image proposes changes to the
SmallBulkwarkWall . Here are changes to the large bulwark wall
LargeBulkwarkWall Blast Gates + Blast Wall. The blast gate currently serves no purpose.
BlastGate &
BlastGate2 will give it a vital reason to be used in the foundation of a base. Much like other walls, the blast wall requires a module slot to be useful
BlastWall .
STRUCTURES Infantry Tunnel. The infantry tunnel is a cool structure, but pointless when added to a base due to the lack of module slots.
InfantryTunnel .
Module Options: Repair, Durability Infantry Tower. The dark light feature on it is awesome, however a module slot would make it a go-to object in bases.
InfantryTower .
Module Options: Repair, Durability Pillbox: The pillbox lost its reliability in the new update. Adding a second module slot would resolve this allowing a durability module to be installed.
Pillbox Vehicle Bridge. THE COOLEST STRUCTURE TO EVER BE ADDED TO PLANETSIDE. The bridge has so much potential. Unfortunately, it struggles to find it’s place among reliable buildings. A module slot in the center would allow more utility for this gigantic structure as seen in this picture.
THEMEGABRIDGE . In terms of the bridge arrows, moving them down slightly would allow more locations to be considered
TheBridgeArrows .
Module Options: Repair, Durability. Ammo Tower. The option to install an equipment module would be an extreme convenience for tank drivers nearby to replace consumables.
Vehicle Gates. As I have stated over the many years, this shouldn’t be allowed.
FloatingVehicleGate . Adding a second arrow attached to the stairs would resolve any exploitative placements. Consider adding a second one beside it to install both durability and repair to bring back the previous level of reliability.
FloatingVehicleGate2 .
The Silo. The silo is, simply put,
TOO BIG. It clips with tree branches way below terrain, or rocks that you can't actually see above ground. It is too wide, trying to put it tightly beside a wall doesn't work because the hitbox is actually bigger than the prefab itself..
Silo . I propose cutting the base of the silo by about 35%. I also propose reducing the width of the bottom portion for an easier time making condensed bases.
Command Center. Command Center & A Tiny Rock Why is the collision box on this structure SO, DAMN, BIG! The amount of cool places you COULD put this but you can’t. All due to something as silly as a rock being 5 meters away from the actual building. Now don't let me mention the air pad attached to it.
The Air pad Center . This really should not exist. Why does the command center's air pad need to check if there is a collision 50 meters below it. Consider making the air pad collision box a separate entity, detached from the main structure collision box.
Cortium Silo Reserve. It's in a good place. A cool feature that has had some gossip would be allowing the silo to either function independently or expand the range of a current silo. By placing it on the edge of the main silo range, it would extend the range (from the point it is placed at) by adding an additional 25 meter radius of connected silo zone.
Glaive + Flail. Moving them higher above ground is a good call. It leaves more room for a base being assaulted to take down the flail/glaive. However, there needs to be death-immunity while inside a spawn tube when a flail hits the roof of your base. Theoretically, you shouldn’t die at all while in the structure.
MODULE BALANCE The repair module; 0.5% -> 1% per second. A single tank being able to take down a base from render range is not okay. The previous system would require
at least TWO tanks to take a wall down. If I remember correctly, the old repair module repaired at a rate of 350hp per second. (Around 2-2.5% in current system math)
The fortress shield module; 60 Seconds to 75/90 seconds. Cost; 500 -> 1000/2000 respectively.
Increasing the duration of the fortress shield would allow the module runner time to replace broken constructs, repair, participate in a fight or do many other roles left unfilled. 60 seconds basically leaves you running from A -> B -> A every 60 seconds in a hot zone. The exponential increase in cost would be a tradeoff for the player having more time to do other tasks.
Heavy repair module; 60 seconds to 75/90 seconds. Repair Rate; 2% -> 3% per second. Health Added -> 8000 to 10000. Cost 500 -> 1000/2000 respectively
The increased abilities of the heavy repair module would make it a more ‘attractive’ choice than choosing the fortress shield module 9/10 times. In its current form, it is not strong, it is equivalent to the old standard repair module. The exponential increase in cost would be a tradeoff for the player having more time to do other tasks.
The Firewall Module; Let this be installed into vehicle/air terminals and command center. It is called a firewall module and it should act like one. Forcing an infiltrator to hack this module would allow builders who are not at their base a bit more time to react. With the loss of AI and painspires, this would help remedy repeat situations where a player runs to get cortium and by the time they return, there are half a dozen lightnings and sunderers in your base.
If you made it this far, thank you for reading. I have been playing since 2012. I love this game, specifically construction. The ability to be creative in a FPS is not seen in any other games and the current version of construction really limits what a builder can do. I believe the proposed changes would benefit every, single, builder. It would ease almost all frustrations regarding durability and increase the amount of reliability of player objects, including increasing the amount of usable structures in base foundations.

2023.06.10 01:28 JustAnotherTRALol I just finished Persona 3 for the first time. Here are my thoughts on what I'd like for Reloaded.
Hello everybody, hope you're all doing well. Today I finished Persona 3 for the
first time. Not in celebration of Reloaded being 'announced'
(or, rather, leaked on Instagram); it's entirely coincidental. In fact I crossed the 100 hour threshold when I first was notified of the trailer's leakage on Twitter.
(Learning that the game I just poured 115 hours into is soon going to be (presumably) obsolete is certainly a feeling!) As Persona 3 is therefore pretty fresh in my mind, and I have no nostalgia or years-long cemented ideas about what makes it work or what doesn't, and as I also have absolutely firm idea about the content in P3P or P3:FES (I have only played the basic vanilla version, although know some vague stuff about content in FES and Portable), I figured I might have an interesting perspective on the whole Reloaded business that your average Persona 3 fan might not have (given I have only just become one as of... today). I'm sure I'm not alone, but I imagine there aren't
too many people out there who played & finished Persona 3 for the first time this month.
Please understand this is only my personal opinion and I am only intending to present this as my personal opinion. If you have disagreements, or want to share your own opinions, then I fully invite you to do so!
- Tartarus needs a rework. I imagine this is something everybody agrees on. The Metaverse from Persona 5 feels largely like a better Tartarus to me, so I have faith that if they touch up Tartarus to make it better they can do it, but to be honest I'm still not entirely fond of the Metaverse in Persona 5 either. It worked well as a complement to the Palaces but if Persona 5 were just the Metaverse it would attract a lot more criticism I'm sure. Frankly the very concept of 'grind through ~210 randomly generated floors that are more or less monotonous corridors full of repeating enemies with nothing interesting to do' seems fundamentally flawed, so I don't really have a suggestion on how to fix it, which is a shame. All I know is Tartarus is a problem that hopefully the game designers will address. I have multiple friends who I would not recommend Persona 3 to simply because I know they'd abhor Tartarus, and I can't pretend I enjoyed every single floor (especially when grinding it for hours only to get Hama'd and lose all progress and do it again).
- Please give more to do in the evenings. From my understanding both P3P and P3FES improved on this, by adding an arcade or moving the Devil Arcana social link to the evening etc, but in the vanilla game the lack of activities to do in the evening is fairly dire. As a new player who went in blind, it took me a while to fully accept that there was literally nothing let for me to do in the timeslot with months of game left. From then on it always felt like I was 'wasting' time. I'm sure there are all sorts of things they can think of to fill the time slot in though.
- Making romance social links optional would be nice. It's not exactly going to change the whole game, but I'd appreciate platonic options with the girls as opposed to being forced into a romantic option. Of course, this would have gameplay ramifications - in Persona 3, social links can reverse, and my understanding is that going out with a girl past ~rank 5 while also going out with another girl past ~rank 5 will negatively impact that social link and make it reverse, so the fact all female social links are romantic in nature does actually have an effect on gameplay. To that I'd suggest that a platonic option would not cause jealousy in other girls like a romantic route does, and that way it gives more agency to the player as they can effectively choose a 'difficulty' option as it were, but if they kept the jealousy mechanic in I don't think it'd be too weird.
- More Social Links with SEES would be great. Again, to my understanding Persona 3 Portable lets you play as a female main character, and in doing so allows you to substitute several social links with other options, so you can have a Junpei social link and an Akihiko social link and so on, while depriving you of the male MC alternatives. This was a pretty good solution, allowing social links with them while maintaining the balance of the arcana, but personally, coming from vanilla Persona 3, I don't like the idea of splitting the social link options up like that. I think a major strength of Persona 3 is the cast of SEES and their dynamic, and I'd love to spend time with Akihiko or Junpei without being railroaded from other options. How they'd accomodate for this I'm not sure - I'd suggest inventing new arcana but that would have so many ramifications for the game it's not even funny - but either way, if there's truly no female MC option like in Portable, I'd still really want a way to social link Akihiko or Junpei as Makoto somehow. By that same token, I would like an Aegis social link (which I believe FES and Portable both have), and I'd also like a Ken Social Link (which I believe neither have) and a Koromaru Social Link (which might seem absurd but, to that I say, very well.)
- Allow the option to manually control party members. Like in Persona 4 and Persona 5, I'd like you to be able to manually control your party members and choose their exact moves. This would be a major convenience for so many reasons and would have saved me from dying so many times. (Seriously, I set you on Healing/Support because I want healing, Yukari, please stop casting Wind Break Yukari, I need Diarahan.) That said, I do feel like the inability to manually control your party members is kind of part of the identity of Persona 3, and is a small part of what sets it apart from the later modernsonas. You might disagree and call me silly for latching onto archaic mechanics, but I don't see why more options is a bad thing. It would be nice if, when starting a new save, you were presented the option for manually taking over party members or leaving it to the AI like in the original game. I doubt many people would actually choose the older style if given the option, but I'd like it.
- Optionally remove reversing Social Links. Social Link reversals make a lot of sense, and I really like the idea of reversing or even breaking Social Links, and kind of wish the later installments followed suit now that I've seen them. With that said, the fact they can choose to no longer like you because you spent ~50 days not talking to them seems a little fast - Fuuka never ended up forgiving me in my playthrough. I'm worried that Reloaded might try to modernise the game to modern sensibilities and choose to axe social link reversals altogether, to align it more with the later installments - to that I say, please just make it an option instead of removing it for everyone.
- Animations need to be (optionally) faster. My plathrough of vanilla Persona 3, according to the game, was 115 hours. This does not count the amount of times I died, lost all my progress, and had to try again. Out of those many hours, I wonder just how many was waiting for a battle animation to play out, or an all out attack finish, etc. Don't get me wrong, it was very stylish for 2006, and I'm sure Reloaded will make it all the more stylish - but an option to make them go by faster would be great. Faster battles would be way more engaging in my opinion, but it would be stupid to say they need to be faster mandatorily or something.
- More streamlined user interface. To read the notes from Tartarus, you need to navigate to the main menu, then System, and then Dictionary. I know we're outright told this, but it's still a little cumbersome. If I go to the Velvet Room and figure out I want to dismiss a Persona, I need to leave the Velvet Room, open the main menu, dismiss a persona, then return to the Velvet Room. There are face buttons not used when hovering over a Persona in the Velvet Room - why not let me dismiss them from there? The Battle UI was fine enough, and though I lament the loss of the gun cylinder style as apparent in the trailer, I broadly welcome the fact everything seems to be dedicated to buttons now, which will hopefully drastically speed up the pace of the game.
- Maybe different voice recordings? I imagine this one's going to be exceptionally controversial, so I'm sorry if this upsets anyone. Please understand I do not mean disrespect to any of these professionals or their work, and do in fact respect it greatly. With that said, some of the performances (not to name names) felt distinctly off and underwhelming. I feel it would be a sore misopportunity to reuse the same voice lines. I wouldn't mind a change in cast, but perhaps the problem was not the actors/actress' abilities but lack of direction (as often accompanies JRPG dubs). If that is the case, maybe better direction/experience would be enough to improve it, I don't know. I'm extraordinarily ignorant on the goings on of Persona 3, so maybe the voice talent already changed for subsequent games. Whatever the case, I'd like them to be rerecorded please.
- Accessible fast travel would be a blessing. The map might not be large by a long shot (although a bigger map with more to do would be excellent!) but that doesn't change the fact that going from school to Naganaki Shrine back to school is a bit of a commute. It only takes one or two minutes, but given it's something I found myself doing every single day before doing Social Links, that time added up a great deal. (It didn't help that I only discovered the guy in class that gives you a map when you talk to him very late in the game). Letting you simply press a button or two and teleport anywhere at your leisure would really help things. By that same token, choosing which side of Iwatodai Station to teleport to would be nice - not a gamechanger by any means, but it's small quality of life touches that really make a remake feel that much nicer.
- Let us hang out with SEES more! As said above, I think one of the great strengths of Persona 3 is the cast of characters and the group dynamic. With that said, it felt like whenever I entered the Dorm, there was nothing to do... because there was nothing to do. I could talk to everyone, but they only had 2 or 3 lines that would only change every week or so. I would not mind losing out on some evenings for more scripted events where we hang out, or let us waste our time playing games or going out. Maybe I can invite people to Chagall Café with me, or have somebody accompany me Karaoking, etc. I haven't got around to playing Persona 5: Royal yet, but knowing the stuff they added for activities with the Phantom Thieves has made me very interested in repurchasing the game just for that, and the same goes with SEES - letting the group dynamic really feel like a group would be super great. I want more mandatory events where we talk, more dialogue, and optional ways to spend time in the evenings with everyone too. Spoilers ahead! Also, it would help flesh out Shinjiro. Spending more time with him through group dynamics would make his fate more emotional in my opinion - although, having even stronger bonds with everyone, the same goes for the ending as a whole.
- Please remove the second cycle limit for a certain event. Spoilers ahead! In Persona 3, on the 'second cycle' (essentially New Game+), you can fight Elizabeth, the Velvet Room attendant, as the ultimate battle at the top floor of Monad. As someone who ended up grinding my entire party to Level 99 in anticipation of the final boss, and found myself underwhelmed by a lack of challenge (which I suppose I should have seen coming!), I really would have liked being able to face this optional boss in my original playthrough instead of being railroaded into what basically amounted to a whole other playthrough (albeit likely much more brief). This is just a nitpick, I know... still, Monad felt very strange to me, given it existed yet seemed much tougher than anything in the story, and with the only reward from getting to the top of it being something entirely superfluous by the time you get there (1 million yen is a lot of money, but you already have millions when you're at that point, and have no need for more.) In retrospect it feels entirely purposeless without Elizabeth being there, yet in the original playthrough, she is not.
- Please give better skill inheritance with manual skill selection. Once again, to my understanding, I believe Persona 3 FES might have improved on this. Whatever the case, building Personas with good skills is really hard to do in vanilla Persona 3 without spending ages going back and forth from the fusion menu to inspecting the result and seeing if the game has rolled the dice to allow you to get what you want. Seriously, getting a Succubus with Mabufudyne for an Elizabeth quest took maybe 30 minutes of pressing circle and x over and over again until the result finally popped up. (Although, if I'm honest, at that point a rhythm had developed and I backed out of the Succubus with Mabufudyne... we've all done it.) Given we have a sort of pseudo-agency in selecting skills by retrying over and over again in the first place, genuinely what is the point in not giving us full agency? Of course I'm not saying we should be able to choose any skills from the personas to be fused; it still needs to meet the rules of skill inheritance, but giving us more control and selecting a specific skill or two to inherit rather than leaving it to chance would really make for a more convenient time. I firmly believe the only thing that not giving us manual choice does is waste our time.
- More frequent save options. Losing progress sucks in any game. It's true that being able to save every 5 seconds kind of erodes the feeling of difficulty in a game as it artificially reduces the punishment of failure, but Tartarus is structured such that, if you are particularly grindy or unlucky, you could go an entire hour or more between save points (or, so it feels, anyway.) Dying at that point is no fun at all, and in a game where instant death is a real possibility from Hama and Mudo skills, and when there are some enemy compositions that have both Hama and Mudo while you are unlikely to have a Persona that is able to nullify both at once at that stage... the two do not mix terrifically well. (This mixes even worse with the fact your fellow party members are uncontrollable, but it seems from the little footage shown they are manually controllable in Reloaded.) Giving more save options in Tartarus would be great. Perhaps they could make it so you can save every few floors, or they add a new 'save room' as a randomly generated structure to each floor in Tartarus that you need to find, or at least some other way to make saving a bit more frequent. Additionally, the way Persona 3's elevators back to Floor 1 could do with a quality of life improvement too - when you reach a Guardian Floor, you can teleport back to 1F and everybody restores full HP and SP, and then you can go to the clock to save and then return to the elevator back to the Guardian floor. My question is: what does this journey actually add? It takes a lot of extra time to go to a screen, wait for a new environment to load, then move, then save, then return and repeat the loading again. Why not just let people save and restore full HP and SP on these floors automatically instead of demanding a journey down for that? Additionally, to my knowledge, you can only save outside of Tartarus by going to the Dorm, which means, if you're at school, you need to first finish your afternoon time slot somehow to save. This isn't the end of the world, but being able to simply manually save at any time while outside of Tartarus just feels sensible to me. It's not exactly like going to that contract to save is particularly immersively diegetic, is it, so why restrict saving to just there?
- Maybe context-sensitive pleas for Tartarus? I'm not sure how to easily word this gripe. Essentially, pretty much every week, especially before a Full Moon, the SEES members will ask you to go to Tartarus. They'll often say they want to get stronger, or they're scared the next enemy will be too tough, and stuff like that. I'd like it if these messages only occurred if the game recognises that you are too weak/roughly strong enough to beat that respective boss, and have not fully explored Tartarus as far as you can so far, and I'd like it if they gave a more affirmative 'we're strong enough' line if you're firmly overlevelled for the next encounter and have fully explored Tartarus to the best of your ability. I found myself being way too strong for each encounter because I was always overprepared, and this was in part because I wanted to desperately avoid the soft-locking issue I could anticipate in a time-based game like this, but also because I felt constantly pressured by the NPCs in the game to get stronger even when it was unnecessary. You might consider this a very small nitpick, and you'd be right! But it would alleviate a certain level of anxiety from certain types of cautious gamers like myself, and would make spending your time doing social links or who knows what else more enjoyable. I grinded for a good hour or two before every full moon, and, frankly, with how easy all those encounters are, I think they were all total wastes of time. If the dialogue in the game reflected that we were firmly strong enough, maybe I wouldn't have done that. Hell, Akihiko and Yukari were asking to get even stronger when they were already Level 99 towards the end of the game.
- A way to skip Shuffle Time? Maybe there already is a way to skip Shuffle Time that I never found out about, in which case I will feel very silly. However, Shuffle Time is often times a waste of time - maybe none of the options are anything you want, or at least nothing worth it - given (to my knowledge) it's guaranteed to happen after every All Out Attack and every time you finish the final blow, it's bound to occur a lot, and a fair deal of the time I felt that Shuffle Time was something I'd actually prefer to avoid rather than take part of. If you could just press square or start or whatever to skip it, that'd be great. (I'm aware you can just skip the shuffling animation itself, but I mean a way to skip the mechanic altogether. Maybe even an option to opt-out of Shuffle Times even happening.) And if it turns out that was always an option and I'm just stupid, then a more clear indication that that's an option would likewise be appreciated.
- Simply additional content. More locations, more shops, more events, more dialogue, more days, more weapons... I don't really mind. It's a good game, but having just played Persona 3, my first thought after the game ended was 'I wish I bought Persona 3 FES instead, because I want to do more.' The base game, I believe, doesn't have social link epilogues, which FES does, so I feel like even there I haven't had the full experience. Now of course, if it had The Answer and other FES-exclusive content, that would be wonderful, but assuming it doesn't - I'd still super appreciate more new content just generally. I wouldn't even mind if they padded out the length of the game by a whole other month just to let some more scripted events or dialogue or social links happen. Sure, making the game end on a different month would be changing the story a little... but from where I am, being a newbie to the game who just finished it today, I don't think I'd mind that if it let me enjoy and experience the world and characters some more. I'd see it as an enhancement, and whatever happens - the originals will always be there, and no changes or additions will take away the marvellous impact and legacy that Persona 3 had, has, and always will continue to have regardless of what Reload does or does not do.
Well, that's just about everything I think I'd want from Reloaded. I really hope it's a lot of fun. Having just played Persona 3 myself, I doubt I'll get it any time soon personally unless it has The Answer or a really large amount of exclusive content... but honestly, even on the day of playing the original, I'm genuinely kind of interested in it already.
What do you think? What do you want to see out of Reloaded? Do you think anything I suggested would be bad for the game or is just nitpicky? Do you agree with everything on the list and have additional ideas? Do you just want to share your own thoughts? Thanks for reading and have a great day everyone.
(P.S., if you're wondering what my impressions of Persona 3 are now that I've completed it for the first time, I liked it.) submitted by

2023.06.10 01:22 TNsmoke 2010 Lexus RX350 AC Relay
Hey guys. Forgive me if I am posting this in the wrong place or maybe if it has already been discussed. My wife's 2010 RX350 has stopped blowing cold air on a regular basis. Sometimes it will work and then 10 minutes later start blowing warm air. Or sometimes it wont work at all. Depends on the day. I have read a lot of a lot of people have seemed to say replacing the AC clutch relay will fix the issue. I would much rather try a $13 part before I take it somewhere and get bent over or try replacing the whole compressor by myself.
I opened the fuse box and the relays are located up under the brake fluid reservoir. Is there a diagram or could someone point me in the right direction on which one is the ac relay? The youtube videos are pretty shitty or for older models.
Any help would be appreciated.

2023.06.09 22:56 Joadzilla Here are the 37 charges against Trump and what they mean
| https://www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/2023/06/09/trump-charges-classified-documents/ A court on Friday unsealed the federal indictment against Donald Trump and an aide over classified documents found at his Mar-a-Lago home and the men’s alleged efforts to keep the government from finding the materials. Here’s what we know about the charges against the former president, brought by special counsel Jack Smith. How many charges does Trump face? Trump is accused of violating seven federal laws but faces 37 separate charges. That is because each classified document he is accused of holding on to illegally is charged in a separate count, and his alleged efforts to hide classified information from federal investigators is charged in several ways. His longtime aide Walt Nauta faces six charges, all but five of which are also lodged against Trump. https://preview.redd.it/wxs1ftf7225b1.jpg?width=901&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a4405e7c60e01a10d137234395df08971071c021 What are the charges against Trump? Espionage Act/unauthorized retention of national defense information: Trump is charged with 31 counts of violating a part of the Espionage Act that bars willful retention of national defense information by someone not authorized to have it. Such information is defined as “any document, writing, code book, signal book, sketch, photograph, photographic negative, blueprint, plan, map, model, instrument, appliance, or note relating to the national defense, or information relating to the national defense which information the possessor has reason to believe could be used to the injury of the United States or to the advantage of any foreign nation.” Technically, that information does not have to be classified, but in practice the law is almost exclusively used to prosecute retention of classified material. In Trump’s case, prosecutors say that all but one of the 31 documents he is charged with illegally retaining were marked as classified at the “secret” or “top secret” level. The unmarked document concerned “military contingency planning,” according to the indictment. A conviction does not require any evidence of a desire to disseminate the classified information; having it in an unauthorized location is enough. But the crime requires a “willful” mishandling of material “the possessor has reason to believe could be used to the injury of the United States or to the advantage of any foreign nation.” Charges are generally not brought without some aggravating factor making clear the retention was not accidental — such as evidence of intent to share the information, signs of disloyalty to the U.S. government, or simply the volume of documents taken. Unlike other government employees, the president does not go through a security clearance process that includes a pledge to follow classification rules. But Trump received requests from the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) and subpoenas from the Justice Department indicating that the documents in question were classified and needed to be returned to the U.S. government. Prosecutors say he instead sought to hide them from federal investigators. And while the president can declassify most information, there is a process for doing so. According to the indictment, Trump twice showed classified information to others, once while saying that the document was still classified and lamenting that he no longer had the power to declassify it. Conspiracy to obstruct justice: Trump is charged with one count of conspiring with Nauta to hide classified material from federal investigators, by lying to the FBI about what was found at Mar-a-Lago and moving boxes of documents out of a storage room before agents searched the home. Trump specifically is accused of suggesting that one of his attorneys lie to the FBI and help hide or destroy documents. Tampering with grand jury evidence: Trump and Nauta face two counts of trying to keep evidence out of grand jurors’ hands: one count of withholding the classified documents and one of corruptly concealing them. As part of those charges, Trump is accused of trying to persuade one of his attorneys to help conceal the documents, while Nauta is accused of hiding the evidence by moving the boxes of classified documents. Concealing evidence in a federal investigation: For the same alleged conduct of hiding the classified information at Mar-a-Lago, Trump and Nauta separately face one count of concealing evidence with the intent to obstruct an FBI investigation. False statements: Both Trump and Nauta together face one count of scheming to making false statements for allegedly hiding from the FBI and the grand jury that the former president still had classified documents in his possession. Trump faces a separate count for causing his attorney to falsely claim in June 2022 that all classified documents in the former president’s possession had been handed over in response to a subpoena, according to the indictment. Nauta alone is accused of lying to the FBI by falsely claiming that he had nothing to do with moving any boxes. What possible penalties does Trump face? The maximum punishment for each count of unlawful retention of national defense information is 10 years in prison. Conspiracy to obstruct justice, tampering with grand jury evidence, and concealing evidence in a federal investigation all carry punishments of up to 20 years. Each false statement charge is punishable by up to five years in prison. If Trump was convicted on all charges, the sentences could run consecutively, amounting to hundreds of years in prison. But federal defendants are rarely given the maximum possible punishment. He does not face any mandatory minimum sentences. Sentences in unlawful retention cases vary widely, depending in part on how sensitive the material is, how much of it there is, how long the person held on to it and his or her cooperation with investigators. A Defense Department employee in Manila who took home a small amount of secret-level information to work on a classified thesis project served only three months behind bars. Kenneth Wayne Ford Jr., who was found guilty at trial of bringing home national defense information after leaving the National Security Agency and lying about the case, received a six-year sentence. A former NSA contractor who over two decades amassed a huge trove of highly sensitive material, including hacking tools and details of overseas operations, was sentenced to nine years in prison. A Navy sailor who took pictures of classified areas of a nuclear-powered submarine and then destroyed the evidence was sentenced to a year in prison for retention and obstruction; Trump later pardoned him. Retired Gen. David H. Petraeus was given probation after pleading guilty to sharing classified information with his biographer. At the time, the crime of mishandling classified information — as opposed to national defense information — was a misdemeanor with a maximum punishment of a year behind bars. It became a felony during Trump’s presidency. What other criminal charges does Trump face? Trump is charged in New York State Court with unrelated crimes for conduct that predates his presidency. He is accused of falsifying business records to hide payments during the 2016 campaign made to an adult-film star to keep her from saying publicly that she had an affair with Trump. Trump is also under investigation by a state prosecutor in Georgia, who is looking at his efforts to overturn President Biden’s 2020 victory in that state. Smith is also investigating Trump’s attempts to stay in office after losing the presidential election, including his pressure on officials in battleground states and fundraising off false claims of election fraud. Has Trump responded to the charges? The former president described himself as “an innocent man” being treated unfairly in comparison with Biden. Classified documents from the Obama administration were discovered in Biden’s Delaware home late last year by lawyers cleaning out his home office. Biden’s attorneys turned those documents over to NARA, and the president gave the Justice Department permission to search the home, as well as his beach house and think tank office. The White House has said that only “a small number” of documents from Biden’s vice-presidential tenure were found. Hi everyone,
If this isn’t the right place for this, please let me know. I went through the rules just to see and I think I’m okay but just in case.
So here’s the rundown: I have a 2012 Ford Focus. About 3/4 weeks ago, my AC went out and started blowing just hot air. My passenger-side headlight had also been having issues (turning off and on), so I brought this up when checking my car in at a mechanic shop (not a dealer one) and said I think it could be an electrical issue. They call me a bit later and say it’s the coolant fan and the headlamp unit just needs to be replaced. I okay’d the repairs ($1,200). It’s expensive but I don’t know anything about the cost of repairs and it seemed relatively reasonable with labor and everything once given the itemized receipt & the fact they had it done that day.
Well, a week later, the AC is out again. I take it back, they replace the fuse for the compressor and say if it goes out, the compressor is bad and (rough estimate) repairs will be $1,500. I decide to take it to a second mechanic for another opinion because I just spent $1,200 and the issue was not fixed.
New mechanic calls to say it’s a very bad electrical issue with too much power going to that area. The new fuse had blown and they replaced it and it blew right away. They said it will be a while for repairs.
I trust the second mechanic a lot. I should’ve gone there to begin with, but they’re over 30 minutes away, in the suburbs, and I would end up in commuter traffic trying to come back. They’re not open on weekends, either, so it was just hard to get to them. But I digress.
My question is, is this something I could ask for a refund on?? For the coolant fan and headlamp? That was a lot of money to spend for it to have not been the issue at all. I don’t know how much the new repairs will cost, but I’m sure they will be high and probably close to what my car is worth, but I also can’t afford to buy a car (new or used) right now.
Thank you in advance. And again, if this is the wrong sub, please let me know

2023.06.09 19:03 juancf87 In light of Ryan Cohen's new role, I came across this article he wrote about his Chewy experience. It gives insight to his determination and vision. It gives me the most bullishness of vibes knowing this person is takings the reigns at GameStop.
The Founder of Chewy.com on Finding the Financing to Achieve Scale
by
Most people assume that the high point of my professional career came on April 18, 2017, when the owners of PetSmart paid $3.35 billion for Chewy.com, the pet retailer I had cofounded six years earlier. No doubt, that day was incredible. It represented the culmination of a dream and a tremendous amount of work. But believe it or not, another handshake—another deal—mattered even more to me.
That one happened on September 26, 2013. I had launched Chewy two years earlier with Michael Day, using our own cash and small loans, but my vision was to build a large business, and I knew that significant capital would be required to finance the growth. We approached dozens of VC firms—I even flew out to Silicon Valley from our South Florida headquarters and went door-to-door on Sand Hill Road explaining how Chewy would succeed by delighting customers and running an ultra-efficient operation. But everyone turned us down.
Larry Cheng at Volition Capital was one of the people we pitched our company to. We first met him in 2012; he was en route to Disney World with his family and agreed to make a quick stop at our office. I remember that he asked me, “Who’s going to take this company to $100 million in sales?” I was 26 and probably looked even younger, but I confidently answered, “I am.” He didn’t invest.
He followed up with us about six months later, though. We’d beaten the sales projections that we’d previously given him, and he was impressed. A few days later he signed off on a $15 million investment in Chewy. The satisfaction of that victory was even greater than the pride I felt following the eventual multibillion-dollar sale. After two years of building Chewy—and more than 100 conversations with VCs that went nowhere—I’d finally found someone who believed in me and our business model. Larry had validated our idea.
From that point on, the mission was larger. I was even more committed to making Chewy an industry leader, because it was no longer just our own money on the line. Larry had gone out on a limb for us. I felt that responsibility.
I approached every subsequent round of financing, including PetSmart’s acquisition, in a similar way—by underpromising and overdelivering on sales. Our mission was straightforward: to build a best-in-class, customer-obsessed pet retailer. We also wanted to leave everyone who’d backed us a winner.
An Early Pivot
I’ve been working since I was 13, when I started building websites for family members and local businesses. From there I moved into affiliate marketing. I met Michael in an online chat room discussing website design and computer programming. We hit it off immediately and started talking about collaborating on a business.
I’d always wanted to build an e-commerce company, so we settled on what we thought was a terrific idea in an industry ripe for disruption: online jewelry sales. We built the website, set up the delivery systems, bought the inventory, and even put a safe in the office to store it.
But about a week before our scheduled launch, I had a revelation. I was in a local pet store with my toy poodle, Tylee, asking the owner about the most healthful food I could buy for her. That’s when it hit me: I was getting into the wrong business. I didn’t care much about jewelry, but like many dog and cat parents I knew, I was passionate about what I bought for Tylee. The pet industry was big and growing, moving from mass market to premium. It was clear that the opportunity was huge.
So although we were only a week away from launching the jewelry business, we pivoted. We sold all the rings, necklaces, and bracelets—and the safe—and started learning everything we could about the pet industry. We built a new website. We found a local distributor and partnered with a third-party logistics company nearby. In June of 2011 we launched. In just three months we went from my epiphany at the pet store to running a pet-supplies business.
We intended to build a best-in-class, customer-obsessed pet retailer. People sometimes ask if I worried about following in the footsteps of Pets.com, in 2000 one of the highest profile failures of the dot-com bubble. I didn’t. For one thing, I was 15 when that company declared bankruptcy, so I wasn’t very familiar with the story. Second, Pets.com existed at a time when most people had dial-up internet and weren’t comfortable making purchases online. By the time we started, e-commerce was second nature for most consumers.
I also got questions about Amazon, and, of course, it was a real competitor. It had an incredible infrastructure, established relationships with customers and suppliers, and endless capital. But I knew that other companies, including Zappos (later acquired by Amazon) and Wayfair, had found success in specific product categories. Their secret was offering a differentiated customer experience. I thought we could do something similar in the pet space.
With limited resources, we served as our own C-suite. I was CEO, Michael was CTO, and my longtime friend Alan Attal was COO. We knew that superior customer service had to be one of our core competencies if we wanted to deliver the same experience I’d had at the neighborhood pet store, so our first priority was building a team to work the phones, live chat, and emails in our call center so that we could stop doing all that ourselves.
From the outset we reinvested all our cash from operations in the business, but eventually we needed the larger pools of money that VC firms offered. After months of searching, we finally found Larry and Volition.
Scaling Up
We closed the series A financing round on October 24, 2013, and I’ll never forget the moment the money hit our bank account. Although we had signed the term sheet, part of me was still skeptical that it was all going to work out. But when I saw the transfer confirmation, it became real.
With that money we could invest in developing the systems, technology, and teams needed to scale up. We could also bring stocking and shipping in-house. We already recognized that if we wanted to create a multibillion-dollar business, fulfillment had to become another core competency.
Consultants had told us that it would take a year and a half to build a warehouse from scratch. But with 300% growth year over year, we didn’t have that much time. The logistics company handling fulfillment couldn’t keep up, so the Chewy customer experience had begun to deteriorate. We needed more control, and fast. We knew we had to make the transition within a few months.
We started scouting potential sites in February of 2014, focusing on the northeastern United States because so much of the country’s population lives there. The location we chose—Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania—would allow us to provide overnight delivery to customers in the densely populated tristate area of Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey. By that summer we’d opened a 400,000-square-foot facility full of bags and cans of dog and cat food, carriers and cages, leashes, litter boxes, toys, and treats.
Although we managed to get up and running in less than six months, it certainly wasn’t easy. Everything that could go wrong did. We couldn’t hire people to work in the warehouse fast enough. When we were finally staffed, the scanner guns would stop working, or the Wi-Fi or warehouse management system would go out. We were tackling issue after issue 24/7 until we worked out all the kinks.
We also focused heavily on marketing. From day one, we invested almost exclusively in direct response ads, so every dollar spent could be tracked—no Pets.com-style Super Bowl commercials for us. We expanded by investing in the team and processes to effectively acquire the right customers at the right cost. Our governor of growth was free cash flow. Our sales more than doubled from $205 million in 2014 to $423 million in 2015.
Our new hires played a big role in scaling up the company. I realized early on that I’d need to use my time efficiently and focus on hiring. At first recruiting was a challenge. Alan and I spent countless hours reaching out to candidates on LinkedIn, explaining how quickly the company was growing and describing what we intended to build, but 98% of them didn’t bother to respond.
Surprisingly, that turned out to be a useful filter. The 2% who did write back were true believers, team players, and business builders who were excited for the opportunity. They all had tremendous heart, fire in their bellies, and a will to win. We hired for passion. Many people quit stable jobs and relocated with their families from across the country to join us. It was a tremendous sacrifice that we never took lightly.
Ultimately we raised six rounds of financing totaling more than $350 million from T. Rowe Price, BlackRock, Greenspring, Lone Pine, Verlinvest, and the investment bank Allen & Company.
The Next Level
Our revenue was $901 million in 2016 and growing 100% year over year. That got us thinking about an IPO for our next round of financing. We had about 7,000 employees and six warehouses, with plans to add another two in the next 12 months. From an operational and strategic perspective, the company was strong.
As we prepped for the IPO, Petco, one of the biggest U.S. pet retailers, approached us about a merger. It couldn’t meet our terms, so we shook hands and parted ways.
In early 2017 PetSmart, Petco’s primary brick-and-mortar rival, also reached out. I received an email from Raymond Svider, a partner and the chairman of BC Partners, the private equity group that had completed its acquisition of PetSmart in March of 2015. He said he was interested in buying Chewy and wanted to talk. We had met previously but didn’t know each other well.
PetSmart was one of our top competitors, so we proceeded carefully. I explained that we were preparing for an IPO, so we expected a certain price in an all-cash, public-style deal. In view of the competitive dynamics, we weren’t going to give away our proprietary information and start a lengthy due-diligence process. I told Svider that if he wanted to make the acquisition, he would need to do it quickly. To his credit, he did. In April of 2017 we signed an agreement to sell the company for $3.35 billion. It was the largest e-commerce acquisition in history.
Our investors were happy too. The early-stage ones made huge gains, and the later-stage ones earned significant money. Investing in Chewy had made a lot of careers, and I’m proud of that. Those investors put their trust in me and my vision, and I repaid them with returns. The same would soon be true for BC Partners and PetSmart.
Chewy’s revenues continued to rise post-acquisition, hitting $3.5 billion in 2018, while its losses narrowed to $267 million. In June of 2019 PetSmart spun Chewy off into a publicly traded company at a valuation near $9 billion, close to three times the sale price only two years before.
I left the company in March of 2018. It wasn’t an easy decision, but I felt I had done all I had set out to do. The company was sound, the foundation strong, and the vision set. But I was no longer in full control. And I didn’t want a boss. I’m a business builder, not a manager. My work was complete.
When I think back to why raising the money to help grow the business was one of the best moments of my life, I realize it’s because the journey was far more exciting than getting to the finish line. I relished the challenges of disrupting an entire industry and trying to delight customers to a degree that had never been achieved before. The excitement I felt from putting together a world-class team of employees and investors, succeeding against all odds, and building a multibillion-dollar retail leader from nothing was unequivocally the greatest of my career.

2023.06.09 00:56 WhatNow_23 Why do my tires keep balding so fast?
So i got 4 brand new tires about 6,000 miles. I just went in for an oil change and was told i needed to brand new front tires. It shocked me cuz they all are pretty much brand new. When i go to look, the 2 tires in question barely had any tread left on them. My mom had this car before me and she said she had to change the tires on this car 4 separate times. The car only gad 65,000 miles on it. Its a 2012 ford fusion. Can anybody let me know what is happening here?

2023.06.08 21:57 Lewichan06 Update 6
Have you ever had a moment of pure confusion? A confusion so intense it almost shakes your way of seeing the world? It seemed impossible that a lowly scientist working for a global underground network working its way up into the clouds; the simple smart guy trying to find out more about fusing Pokémon. That little man would end up playing a pivotal role in taking down one of the most well-organised takeovers ever witnessed.
That little man… was me
Koga saw potential in my abilities and connections to Professor Oak and so he introduced me to the batch of powerful trainers, gathered from across the region by the Elite 4, to put an end to team rocket‘s grasp over Silph Co.
The plan was to disguise myself as a Silph scientist, where I’d then break the master ball machine and open up the lock on the heal stations. That’s when we’d run rampant, storm all of the team rocket grunts out and reclaim Silph Co!
Finding a scientist to impersonate was the easy part; there were only a select few who weren’t secretly wishing for team rocket‘s demise. No, instead I’d have to find a way to break their master ball machine while being constantly surveyed by the Silph scientists who betrayed their employers and dedicated their loyalty to team rocket. It’d have to be something subtle on the eye but something that could make the largest of differences in the machine’s operations. Floor 6 of Silph had the most high-browse security of any floor in the complex. Not only was the master ball machine located on this floor but so was the security system to the entire building.
That’s when I hit it.
The idea swarmed over me, it crushed me like a tonne of bricks. Why disable the machine, when I could shut down the entire security system and then kill the power to the master ball machine.
But for this to work out, I'd need a distraction. I left and requested to start a distraction somewhere in the building. And I can say, it worked. We could all hear it from where we were and they were on floor 3!
when the supervisors and grunts finally left, we set our plan into action. We cut the security, stole the key card on the desk and sent all the workers and scientists home immediately.
This was promising.
I met up with the rest of our group and we made a plan on the fly; half of us would try to find Giovanni and pressure him into calling off the operation and the other half would try to evacuate employees and defeat as many grunts as possible. Me? I was there to take down the very same man I was once terrified of, the aura that Giovanni exerted, that sense of control over his colleagues, his calm and assertive voice split through me.
Now, we'd be the ones hunting him down. We'd be the ones to take down team rocket and reclaim Silph Co!
He wasn't there.
We couldn't find him anywhere, instead we found something even more concerning. Scattered files and tiny hints to what he was really aiming to get out of this: he wanted to harness the power of legendary Pokémon and more concerningly, triple fusion, to take over the region and expand across the world. We knew about their plan to take over but with triple fusion, it could be done easily.

2023.06.08 20:44 SirPoonga Identifying a Magic The Gathering card
| I am new to computer vision stuff and I am trying to wrap my head around how to identify a Magic the Gathering card. To identify a card I need to know the card name and the set it is from. I have tried feature matching but I have found it slow and about 60% accurate. I have seen this old post on this subreddit https://www.reddit.com/computervision/comments/59jpel/need_help_identifying_magic_the_gathering_cards/ I am making a card-sorting robot. What will be nice is the card to identify will always be placed in the same spot for the camera with very little deviation. Phone apps like Delver Lens and TCGPlayer app can identify cards in seconds. I am trying to figure out how that is. They are doing it with whatever angle and translation the card is. My system will be more controlled and the card should end up in nearly the same location under the camera every time. What I have figured out is I can narrow the card pool to about 82,000 images to compare. Out of those I really only need about 51,000 as most cards made after 2012 have identification text in the lower left. I am using Tesseract OCR to identify that text first to identify the card. That is fairly quick. Here's an example of something feature matching got wrong. I scanned in an older card that is well-used called Rolling Thunder. It matched it to a newer oil-slick card. There was a recent set that had some cards with unique foiling that they called oil slick. It makes the cards look almost all black. When I scan the card with the camera I follow these steps. - Undistort the image with OpenCV undistort. I went through the camera calibration process.
- The next steps try to crop the image so it is just the card and rotate it so it is upright.
- Convert the image to grayscale.
- Slightly blur the image with GaussianBlur()
- Threshold the blurred image.
- Then use OpenCV fingCountours.
- This always has the largest contour as the edge of the image so...
- Sort the contours by area and take the second largest area, this should be the card.
- Find the bounding box
- I then use a four point transformation to make sure the card edges are perfectly horizontal and vertical.
- Crop the scan so it is only the card.
- I then use Tesseract to get the rotate property from image_to_osd() and then rotate the image so the card is upright.
- I then resize the image to the same sizes as the card images I downloaded.
With that, I then crop the lower left of the card, where the identification text will be if there is some, and use Tesseract to find the text. I then run a regex on the text to see if has the identification text I need. If not I then want to identify by artwork. One option I might look at is OCR the card name in the upper left and then use template matching to see if I can find the set symbol. This will have some fail cases because there are cards that use odd fonts. There are cards where the artwork goes over the card name. There are sets that are promotional sets that use the same symbol. Since some sets use the same artwork I will probably still have to do template matching to identify the set symbol. I attached the scan of Rolling Thunder and the card image it should have matched to. I also have the original camera scan and countors. 2023.06.08 19:08 Successful_Cut5317 Tarot-Tarot Fruit
Ability: The
Tarot-Tarot Fruit allows the user to create, shape and manipulate tarot cards. The user is able to create a full deck of tarot cards, and each card gives the user a unique one-time use ability.
Once a card is drawn the effect will immediately be in use and the card (as soon as the power has been used) will disappear and (Like a Vivre card in reverse) will become a small piece of the tarot card that slowly becomes a full card (The user is able to expend extra stamina to speed up the process of completing the card), Once the card is whole again it can be used immediately.
The time taken to regain a full card varies, if the user does not put in any energy of their own to regain a card they have used the process can take a month, but with energy that process can take anywhere from a couple of weeks to a few hours and even with extreme levels of energy being put into the card and a decent level of mastery over the fruit the user can reduce the time even more to about ten minutes.
Weaknesses:
- Card Limitation: The user can only create a limited number of tarot cards at a time, a typical full deck of tarot cards. Once a card is used, it takes time for the user to replenish their deck.
- Physical Vulnerability: The user is vulnerable while creating and manipulating tarot cards, requiring focus and concentration. Any interruption or attack during this process can disrupt their abilities.
- Card Dependence: The user relies heavily on the tarot cards for their abilities. If their cards are lost, damaged, or stolen, they lose access to those specific abilities until they can create new ones.
Abilities:
- The Fool - The user gains the ability of unpredictability and adaptability. The Fool card represents a journey into the unknown, and as such, the user can temporarily access abilities from other drawn cards, mimicking their effects for a short period of time. However, the mimicry is not as potent as the original card's ability. The Fool card adds an element of surprise and versatility to the user's arsenal, making them unpredictable and challenging to defeat.
- The Magician - The user gains the ability to manipulate and control the fundamental elements of the universe. They can create, shape, and manipulate all four classical elements: earth, air, fire, and water. This includes the ability to generate powerful elemental attacks, create barriers or shields, manipulate the environment, and even transmute matter to some extent. The user can also perform alchemical experiments and create potions with various effects, utilizing their mastery over the elements. The Magician card represents the user's proficiency in manipulating the basic building blocks of existence, making them a formidable force to be reckoned with.
- The High Priestess - The user gains enhanced intuition and psychic abilities. They can tap into the collective unconscious and gain knowledge or insights about the past, present, and potential futures. They can also create psychic barriers to protect themselves or others from mental intrusion. Additionally, they have the power to manipulate the flow of time within their own mind, allowing them to process information and make decisions at an accelerated rate.
- The Empress - The user gains the ability to manipulate and control plant life. They can accelerate plant growth, shape vines and branches, and even communicate with plants on a basic level. They can create barriers and traps using thorny vines or unleash powerful plant-based attacks. The user can also extract medicinal properties from plants to create healing remedies or toxins for offensive purposes. Additionally, they possess an inherent connection to nature, granting them enhanced vitality and resilience when in natural environments.
- The Emperor - The user gains the ability to manipulate and control authority and leadership. They can project an aura of dominance and command respect from others. The user can temporarily enhance their own leadership skills, making others more inclined to follow their orders or be influenced by their suggestions. They can also create illusions of grandeur and authority, temporarily intimidating or subduing opponents. Additionally, the user gains a limited control over objects and structures, allowing them to manipulate and reshape them to a certain extent. This ability can be used defensively to create barriers or fortifications, or offensively to create weapons or traps.
- The Hierophant - The user gains the ability to tap into spiritual energy and manipulate the spiritual realm. They can communicate with spirits, channel their energy, and perform rituals or ceremonies to achieve various effects. This ability allows the user to gain knowledge from the spiritual realm, perform exorcisms, or even summon and command spiritual beings to aid them in battle or other tasks. The Hierophant card grants the user a deeper understanding of the supernatural and the ability to harness its power.
- The Lovers - The user gains the ability to manipulate emotions and create bonds between individuals. They can enhance or dampen emotions, influencing the feelings and relationships of others. They can create temporary alliances or induce temporary infatuation or loyalty. The user can also sense the emotional connections between people, allowing them to detect hidden relationships or feelings.
- The Chariot - The user gains enhanced speed, agility, and control over vehicles or any means of transportation. They can manipulate the momentum and direction of vehicles, making them move faster or change their course abruptly. The user can summon and control a spectral chariot, allowing them to traverse land, sea, or air with ease. Additionally, they can create temporary tracks or roads for their chariot to travel on, even in difficult terrains. The Chariot ability grants the user a formidable advantage in transportation and mobility, making them highly versatile in combat and exploration scenarios.
- Strength - The user gains enhanced physical strength and durability, surpassing the limits of a regular human. They can perform feats of great strength, such as lifting heavy objects or overpowering opponents. Additionally, they possess a heightened resistance to physical harm, allowing them to withstand attacks that would normally injure or incapacitate others. However, it's important to note that the user's enhanced physical abilities are not limitless. They may experience fatigue and exhaustion after prolonged use, requiring rest and recovery. Additionally, their strength does not grant them invincibility, and they can still be defeated through other means such as strategic attacks or weaknesses unrelated to physical prowess.
- The Hermit - The user gains the ability to manipulate shadows and darkness to a greater extent. They can create a cloak of darkness that grants them enhanced stealth and invisibility, making it difficult for others to detect their presence. They can also manipulate shadows to create defensive barriers or offensive tendrils that can immobilize or restrain opponents. The user can tap into the knowledge and wisdom of solitude, gaining heightened perception and insight, allowing them to uncover hidden truths or see-through illusions. Additionally, they can create pockets of darkness that distort light and sound, creating areas of silence or darkness that can disorient or confuse enemies. The Hermit card provides the user with enhanced introspection and self-reflection, enabling them to understand themselves and their surroundings on a deeper level.
- The Wheel of Fortune - The user gains the ability to manipulate luck and probability. They can alter the likelihood of certain events occurring, increasing their chances of success or causing misfortune for their opponents. They can change the outcome of random events, such as dice rolls or card draws, to their advantage. The user can also enhance their own luck, granting them temporary advantages in various situations. However, it's important to note that the user's control over luck is not absolute. The manipulation of probability is subject to chance itself, and the user cannot guarantee specific outcomes. They can only influence the odds in their favour or against their adversaries. Additionally, the effects of luck manipulation may be temporary and limited in scope, depending on the situation and the user's mastery of the ability.
- Justice - The user gains the ability to manipulate balance and justice. They can sense imbalances in situations and adjust them accordingly. This power allows them to enhance their physical and mental abilities to their peak for a short period of time, granting them heightened strength, speed, agility, and perception. They can also create an area of influence where the concept of justice is intensified, causing those within the area to be bound by a sense of fairness and moral responsibility. This can result in individuals feeling compelled to act justly and face the consequences of their actions. The Justice ability requires a strong sense of moral judgment and a deep understanding of the concept of justice. The user must possess a firm belief in the balance of the universe and the consequences of one's actions. Without a strong moral compass, the Justice ability may not reach its full potential.
- The Hanged Man - The user gains the ability to manipulate gravity and alter their own orientation in relation to it. They can create gravitational fields, causing objects or people to float or be pulled towards them. This ability allows them to move in unconventional ways, such as walking on walls or ceilings, and can also be used defensively to repel or immobilize opponents by manipulating their gravitational force. Additionally, the user can induce a state of suspended animation in themselves or others, temporarily slowing down bodily functions to conserve energy or avoid attacks. However, this ability is limited to gravitational manipulation and does not grant control over time manipulation.
- Death - With the "Death" card, the user can induce decay and deterioration in their surroundings, causing objects to crumble and wither. They can also drain the vitality from their opponents, weakening them and sapping their energy. Additionally, the user gains a heightened resistance to death-related effects. They can withstand poisons, diseases, and other harmful substances that would normally be fatal, granting them a degree of immortality. However, this immunity is not absolute, as extremely powerful or specialized death-related abilities may still pose a threat. The user can also sense the presence of life forces, allowing them to detect living beings even if they are hidden or invisible. This ability grants them an advantage in tracking and locating their targets. It's important to note that while the "Death" card represents the concept of transformation and renewal, it does not grant the user the ability to control the actual concept of death. They cannot kill someone directly with this ability.
- Temperance - The user gains the ability to manipulate the balance and harmony of elements. They can blend and mix different substances or energies, creating unique combinations with enhanced properties. For example, they could mix fire and water to create steam, or combine earth and air to create a swirling vortex. The user can also use this ability to restore balance in chaotic situations, calming conflicts or stabilizing turbulent environments.
- The Devil - The user gains the ability to manipulate darkness and temptation. They can create and control shadows, obscuring vision or trapping opponents within darkness. Additionally, they can tempt others by amplifying their desires or fears, influencing their actions and decisions. The Devil card grants the user the power to tap into their own inner darkness and unleash it upon their opponents. They can create an aura of malevolence, causing unease and fear in those around them. This ability allows the user to manipulate negative emotions and temptations, making it difficult for others to resist their influence. With the power of The Devil, the user can manifest dark tendrils or shadowy constructs, which can be used for offensive and defensive purposes. They can ensnare opponents, drain their energy, or even manipulate the shadows to form weapons for close combat. However, it's important to note that The Devil's power comes with a price. The user must exercise caution, as delving too deep into darkness may risk their own sanity and moral compass. Additionally, the manipulation of negative emotions and temptations can have long-term consequences on the user's psyche and relationships with others.
- The Tower - The user gains the ability to manipulate structures and cause destruction. By drawing "The Tower" card, the user can create powerful seismic waves or generate localized destructive explosions. They can also disintegrate or collapse buildings and other structures with their abilities. This power is particularly effective against fortifications, defences, and barriers. However, it's important to note that the use of "The Tower" card comes with risks and limitations. The user should exercise caution when wielding this power, as its indiscriminate destruction can harm innocent bystanders or even themselves if they're not careful. Additionally, the user may find it challenging to control the magnitude and range of their destructive capabilities, potentially leading to unintended consequences.
- The Star - The user gains the ability to manipulate celestial energy and harness the power of stars. They can create and control starlight, using it for offensive or defensive purposes. They can generate dazzling light beams or create protective barriers using starlight. Additionally, they can tap into the energy of the stars to enhance their own physical abilities, granting them heightened strength, speed, and agility. When the user activates The Star card, a radiant star symbol appears before them, serving as a focal point for their celestial abilities. They can channel the energy through their body or project it outward, unleashing devastating star-based attacks. The intensity and potency of their powers depend on their skill and mastery of this particular card.
- The Moon - The user gains the ability to manipulate illusions and emotions. They can create realistic illusions that can deceive the senses of others, making them see, hear, and feel things that are not there. Additionally, they can manipulate the emotions of those around them, inducing fear, happiness, sadness, or any other desired emotion. When the user invokes "The Moon" card, they can create complex illusions that can affect multiple senses simultaneously. They can make themselves or others invisible, create lifelike illusions of objects or people, or even alter the perception of time and space within the illusion. The emotional manipulation aspect of this ability allows the user to influence the feelings of others. They can amplify existing emotions, suppress emotions, or even implant false emotions in their targets. By manipulating emotions, the user can create distractions, incite conflicts, or manipulate people to act in certain ways. However, it's important to note that while illusions and emotional manipulation can be powerful, they are limited by the user's creativity and the understanding of the target's psyche. Skilled individuals with strong mental fortitude or abilities to detect illusions may be more resistant to these effects.
- The Sun - The user gains the ability to manipulate solar energy and harness the power of sunlight. They can create intense beams of light that can blind or burn opponents. Additionally, they can absorb solar energy to enhance their physical attributes, granting them increased strength, speed, and endurance. The user can also project solar flares or create protective shields using solar energy. When the user activates The Sun card, they radiate a brilliant golden light, symbolizing their connection to the sun. This card grants the user immense power during daylight hours, making them a formidable force in sunny environments. However, the user's abilities may be weakened or diminished in the absence of sunlight or in shaded areas. It's important for the user to strategically plan their actions and take advantage of sunny conditions to fully utilize the potential of The Sun card.
- Judgement - The user gains the ability to pass judgment and enforce consequences. When the user draws "The Judgement" card, they can evaluate the actions and intentions of individuals and determine their fate. They have the power to render judgments and enforce corresponding punishments or rewards based on their assessments. This ability allows the user to hold others accountable for their actions and mete out justice accordingly. They can expose the truth, uncover hidden motivations, and reveal secrets. Additionally, the user can invoke the power of "The Judgement" to cleanse and purify, removing corruption or negativity from individuals or environments. This ability can also be used defensively to shield against attacks or to grant temporary invulnerability as a form of protection. It's important to note that the user's ability to pass judgment is based on their own moral compass and understanding of justice. Their judgments may be subjective and influenced by their own biases or beliefs. Additionally, the consequences enforced by "The Judgement" card are not absolute and can be subject to interpretation or negotiation.
- The World - The user of the Tarot-Tarot Fruit gains the ability to summon and control "The World" card. When thrown, this card has the power to trap anyone it makes contact with within a dimension known as "The World" for a duration of 24 hours. The trapped individual is completely cut off from the outside world and unable to escape until the time limit expires. While trapped within "The World," the victim experiences a suspended state of time and remains unconscious. They are essentially frozen in time and unable to age, interact with their surroundings, or engage in any activities. However, their physical condition remains intact, and they do not require sustenance or suffer from any bodily harm during this period. After the 24-hour duration elapses, the trapped individual is automatically ejected from "The World" and returns to the location where they were initially trapped. The person's memory of the time spent within "The World" may be hazy or fragmented, depending on the individual's mental fortitude.
It's important to note that this ability is all the cards are limited to a single use (at a time, ie they cannot be stacked or have multiple of the same card in the deck at one time), as each card created by the user of the Tarot-Tarot Fruit provides a unique one-time ability. After a card (eg "The World") is used, it disappears from the deck and must be replenished over time.
Awakening:
The user's awakening with the Tarot-Tarot Fruit allows them to reach the pinnacle of their abilities and gain greater control over their tarot-based powers.
Card Fusion:
After awakening the Tarot-Tarot Fruit, the user gains the ability to fuse multiple tarot cards together, creating new and unique abilities that combine the powers of the individual cards. By selecting specific tarot cards and infusing them with their own energy, the user can create a fused card that represents the combined essence of the chosen cards.
Card fusion requires concentration and a deep understanding of the individual cards' powers. The user must carefully select the tarot cards they wish to fuse and channel their energy into the fusion process. Once the fusion is complete, a new tarot card is created, representing the combined abilities of the fused cards.
The abilities of the fused card can vary greatly depending on the chosen combination. For example, fusing The Magician and The High Priestess cards may result in the ability to manipulate elemental energy with heightened psychic control. The possibilities are vast, limited only by the user's creativity and knowledge of the tarot cards.
However, it's important to note that card fusion consumes a significant amount of the user's stamina and energy. The more powerful and complex the fused ability, the greater the strain it puts on the user. Additionally, the user must have access to the individual tarot cards they wish to fuse, as they cannot fuse cards they do not possess.
Card fusion adds a new layer of versatility and unpredictability to the user's arsenal. By combining the powers of different tarot cards, they can create unique abilities tailored to specific situations or opponents. The fused cards can be used in the same way as the individual cards, granting the user temporary one-time use abilities.
However, just like with the individual tarot cards, the user is limited by the number of fused cards they can create at a time. Once a fused card is used, it takes time for the user to replenish their deck and create new fusions. The user must carefully manage their resources and plan their strategies accordingly.
Overall, the ability to fuse tarot cards expands the user's range of possibilities and allows them to adapt their powers to different challenges. It requires careful thought and understanding of the individual cards' abilities, as well as strategic thinking in combining them to create powerful and unique fused abilities.
