I want to beat my addiction and I believe getting around to some TV Shows on my watchlist will help me do that. Here are some of the one I have so far:
Succession: my family will not stop talking about this show and my dad especially is trying to get me into this, as well as The Sopranos.
Euphoria: I know, I know, just hear me out. I know that there is a lot of nudity in this show, however, it follows the story of Rue who is battling her drug addiction (something every last one of us can relate to). Plus, there is a subplot where one character gets manipulated by porn (another thing we all relate to). Plus, if I can survive Game of Thrones and maintain control, I have a good feeling about this one. I admit, I used clips of the show to fuel my addiction. But, I wonder if I see the scene, within the context of the rest of the show, that will have an affect on how I react.
The Wheel of Time: I love fantasy and sci-fi. Plus, this is based on a hit fantasy novel series and my brother has the first book.
Foundation: this sci-fi novel series was used as inspiration for Star Wars, that is reason alone for me to watch this series.
Death Note: I am trying to get into anime and I hear nothing but good things about this series.
Shadow and Bone: Another fantasy series adaptation that looks promising.
The Addams Family: I have been heavily considering watching this classic. Especially since I am considering watching Wednesday.
Mindhunter: Another series my family loves to talk about.
That's just off the top of my head. If any of you have any shows I should add to my list while I deal with my addiction, comment it.

I understand this was poorly planned, it was a last minute decision.
Basically My parents are going on a trip on June 27th to the Dominican republic. They have invited me roughly a month before the trip. I don't have my passport as it got lost over 90 days ago and didn't think much of renewing it because I didn't have any trips planned. I am aware I can go to a passport agency in certain states to get my passport within a few days, only thing is that there is no guarantee that I can have my passport in time of trip is what they said on the phone. I don't want to purchase plane tickets and be screwed over $900. I was seeing travel insurance in case of cancelation but I know I would have to show proof of anything that is covered. Not having a passport is not covered with travel insurance.

I play Minecraft on PS5. I've repeatedly been having a glitch where I get stuck underwater, and it won't let me swim up. If I hold x to swim up, I stay still, and if I let go of x I'll sink as if I'm holding a button to swim down.
This 100% is not being caused by the buttons on the controller getting stuck; this is an issue that only ever happens when underwater in Minecraft. I'd say it happens about 1 in every 10 times I go under water.
Sometimes, it'll go back to normal after a few seconds. I've tried things like placing a block or opening my inventory, but it seems entirely random when/if it'll let me swim up.
I've lost so much stuff on survival worlds this way :( and am essentially forced to avoid water.
Does anyone know about this glitch, and what I can do to stop it from happening?

TLDR: We may or may not be able to get a heat pump. We are going to upgrade our attic insulation regardless. Does it make sense to get an "energy audit" done (as part of heat pump sizing and estimate) before we get attic insulation upgraded?
More detailed version:
We have a single level rural home of ~1200 square feet built in 1973. It was built during a period in which county level building codes were seemingly viewed as suggestions vs requirements ;-) The attic is poorly insulated and the crawl space is not insulated at all. We want to find out if we can get a whole house ducted heat pump system for our home or if we need to stick with a gas furnace. (Complications include inside utility space limitations and suitability of our current ductwork and of course $.)
We want to get the current attic insulation replaced either way.
The attic insulation is a mish mash of not much blown in fiberglass insulation that is in vague dusty drifts that leaves bare some of the ceiling drywall and a few thick fiberglass bats placed at seemingly random locations. We know that the attic insulation is a key weak point in keeping our home warm or cool and would like to have the old insulation removed and then replaced with LOTS of new blown in fiberglass insulation.
Our upgrade plans are to vastly improve the attic insulation, and then get bids on a ducted whole house heat pump, ideally to replace the current gas furnace entirely.
We contacted the only highly reviewed local HVAC folks who do insulation and duct projects AND who seem to have a clue about what a heat pump is to have them do an estimate on removing the old insulation and replacing it with new.
We would like the old insulation removed in order to have the current ductwork evaluated for heat pump suitability, to install soffit vent insulation riser baffles to keep the vents from being blocked by new fiberglass, and to potentially have some of the wiring in the attic that looks a bit like a macrame explosion checked out and tidied up by an electrician before replacing the old insulation with new.
The front desk scheduler for the HVAC company we interacted with strongly encouraged us to do what they refer to as an "energy audit" ($99) as part of having an estimate done for the attic insulation work since they would want to do that before doing an estimate for a heat pump. They were unable to tell us if or how that audit related to a Manual J, S, D, or T but were quite enthusiastic about their using some way cool infrared guns.
Since we are definitely going to have the attic insulation replaced regardless of whether we get a heat pump or not, we asked if it made sense to do that "audit" before the attic insulation is upgraded. She insisted that it could be done accurately with the insulation as is now even though that does not represent what the insulation level would be in the future.
Does that make sense or not?
I don't mind paying the money (they deserve at least that for crawling around in our attic ;-) but it seems silly to potentially do it both before and after our attic insulation upgrade.

My childhood cat was recently diagnosed with stage 2 kidney disease. She has lived with just my dad ever since I moved out years ago.
Unfortunately, she has slowly stopped eating her food and has gotten quite thin over the past month or two. She's all poof. My dad got her dry kidney diet food and she enjoyed it, but she started throwing it up, so he started giving her her original dry food that she loves. Since she has to eat something.
He has also not gotten her wet kd food yet. It's pretty expensive compared to regular cans, and she can be a picky eater. So he wants a variety pack so that the 23 other cans (all I've seen come in 24 packs) don't go to waste.
I've tried to explain that he should just buy them, he has not other choice, it's for her health, but he still hasn't. I think he's taking her diagnosis poorly. She has thyroid pills too that she takes 70% of the time, but he isn't good at forcing it. (ear drops not ideal for his health, but he might do that and wear gloves to prevent drug interactions) this is a whole separate issue though. Sigh.
