My first simple analysis is for Paysafe. I'm not the best at converting my thoughts into writing but hoping to improve.

DISCLAIMER: The post is divided into 2 parts. Part 1 showing the ideal map pool. Part 2 being more of an explanation of "why not other maps". Just saying that You don't need to read part 2 in order to get the essence of the post. Read only part 1 if your low on time.
The ideal 9 map pool has 2-3 maps of every type. The number here is that a plurality of people aren't effected by not having new maps. Imo, This CLEARLY means that the current map pool composition type shouldn't be adjusted since it's perfect. However the plurality would also be happy if you replace some maps with newer maps.

Now, according to the reddit poll i did 40 days ago (click above if you want to see results).

• 48% of reddit doesn’t think new maps impact their viewing experience.
  
• 39% says that no new maps have negatively effected thier viewing experience.
  
• 13% think that having no new maps has positively impacted thier viewing experience.
  

So around overall 87% of the community* would either not care/be positively effected by having new maps compared to 13% being negatively effected by having new maps.
People would want new maps to keep things fresh but those new maps should be of a certain type (to not piss off the 48%)
What is the ideal # of new maps? Well, in order to guarantee prevent pros just banning the new maps, you'd want minimum of 3 new maps per introductor phase. This way, pro teams can't just ban new maps if another team wants to play it (Bo3s & Higher) without being punished. I don't wanna do more than 3 maps because that's too much change within a 5 month off-season.
So, at minimum, the goal is to introduce 3 new maps without disturbing the map type composition of the new map pool to satisfy 87% of the community. Ok, here's how we accomplish that.

Outback

Outback is a Frag-Fest map focused on refrags while also providing a fresh strategical set of strats.
Coastline was the Frag-Fest predecessor to Border. Border never quite got love from the community because it was viewed as "stale" due to the small reworks philosophy of devs during this time.
Border got old & boring fast. It doesn't even have a 4th viable bombsite which makes it even more stale.
Verdict: Outback is the perfect replacement to Border. It has an added bonus of having 4 viable bombsites which makes it exciting. Outback fits the gunheavy/fragfest map type perfectly while not being stale. Outback is the rightful successor to Border.

Nighthaven Labs.

Every time... I swear to god. Every time i ask a pro about this map. They say it's perfect. They suck this map off so hard. Why?
It's because Nighthaven labs is the zenith of R6 competitive map design. It's unique and complex but also familiar to other maps. That's why you should love it too.
It's basically Neo-Chalet with strategical depth and diversity of strats. Nighthaven is, imo, the most strategically diverse + Balanced map in the game. I'd like to see this masterclass of a map going into the map pool. This would add another S-Tier map alongside Chalet leading to an amazing map pool.
Verdict: "NL" is an S-Tier Middle-Ground map type and is completely new. Villa was the least played map at invitational. It would be replacing one of the most stale maps with an S-Tier New Map. Nighthaven is the perfect successor to Villa.

Consulate

Consulate is a relatively large rework that changed every site allowing massive changes to the map. Pre-Rework, this map was played very Linear so im assuming it's gonna stay this way post-Rework.
This map had years of competitive play so pros should be familiar with this map enough for a 3-map pool entrance.
Verdict- This map would fit the Linear Map type and would be a perfect replacement for Oregon. Consulate was a map that pros like & viewers like. Looking at the rework, lots of things have been changed that change how the map is played while keeping it's Linear identity.

Maps that should stay in the map pool. (Part 2 of the post)

So i know some people are saying "well, HUH? what about getting rid of other "x" map?" I think there are problems with other maps in the pool too but none are really as big as the 3 i mentioned above. Lets talk about the 6 other maps and why i didn't put them to be replaced.

• (1)Chalet: UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES DO YOU GET RID OF THIS MAP! It's a masterclass in new map design and is one of the most balanced maps i have ever seen.
  
• (2)Clubhouse: It's stale. Yes. But it needs to occupy the "Middle-Ground" slot for a perfect map pool. It's also Clubhouse, a staple of competitive R6 esports, do we really wanna get rid of it?
  
• (3)Kafe: Kafe is an S-Tier map from a competitive sense but not a viewer sense. It has strategical diversity & seperates bad teams from good teams. From a viewer perspective tho, it's not the best. Due to taking a boring 1 minute and 20 seconds to safely even get to the map. There's so much off-time not doing anything for like, a 4th of the round that it creates problems for casters when they have to talk about the most boring things. This map was necessary to the comp map pool years ago because the other comp maps were just not that good. Now that there is New S-Tier maps available, we can remove this. I love the map, strategically amazing, but move the spawn closer to the map for a small re-design. If you can't do that, then cut it from the comp map pool for not being viewer-friendly enough. I don't want to remove this map, but if you don't move the spawns closer to the building then it's not a good viewer map.
  
• (4)Sky: It's a Heavy-Coordination map. It's a new map that is still being figured out but It only has 3 viable sites which means relatively poor map design. I don’t feel like this map is strategically diverse enough. This feels like the prime contender to be the 4th map to go.
  
• (5)Themepark: Again, I know some people don't like this map but it has to stay in here to not disrupt the Map Pool composition. It's a great strat-heavy map for Competitive play.
  
• (6)Bank: I hate this map but it's admittingly a good balanced map. I wish it was gone due to staleness. I think it should be gone but i see no viable replacements to this map. If the new Portugal 🇵🇹 map is competitively viable & of the same map type, i will be the first one to say to drop Bank for it. But don't drop it now.

Long time lurker, but very new to the world of Crypto when I think about it.
I didn't know anything about trading crypto or that there were even benefits to one crypto over another. Or that there were many scams vs. legitimate use scenarios with different coins. To me, crypto was a magic piece of data that could make you rich, or send you to the poor house in an instant.
With so many subreddits shutting down coming up, with some, like iphone shutting down indefinitely, I am worried that I may have to quit crypto completely. I wouldn't know where to go to not get scammed or to be fed misinformation, if this subreddit decides to follow others. Even if it's for a few days.
I can't be the only one in this situation. I've been following here for the longest time, but with new site policies and subreddits shutting down, where would someone find resources similar to here? This place is an invaluable hub for information (and yes - lies) but it still remains the best for me.

Recently the topic of closing subreddits in protest of Reddit's changes to their API has been very prominent. It's time for us to make our announcement: Along with other subreddits,** ThirdSentenceHappy will be closing June 12th - 14th, perhaps longer depending on Reddit's approach to resolving issues surrounding API access.**
What's actually happening?
This is a protest of Reddit's policy change to API access. This infographic should explain the consequences of their actions.
For further context, this writeup (credit to u/RamsesThePigeon ) explains further:
On July 1st, 2023, Reddit intends to alter how its API is accessed. This move will require developers of third-party applications to pay enormous sums of money if they wish to stay functional, meaning that said applications (which include browsers like Reddit Is Fun, moderation tools like Pushshift, and accessibility-focused add-ons for users who are visually impaired) will be effectively destroyed. In the short term, this may give Reddit the appearance of being more profitable than it truly is... but in the long term, it will undermine the platform as a whole.
Reddit relies on volunteer moderators to keep the platform welcoming and free of objectionable material. It also relies on uncompensated contributors to keep its numerous communities populated. The above decision promises to adversely impact both groups: Without effective tools, moderators cannot combat spammers, bad actors, or the entities who enable either; without the freedom to choose how and where they access Reddit, many contributors will simply leave. Rather than hosting creativity and in-depth discourse, the platform will soon feature only recycled content, bot-driven activity, and an ever-dwindling number of well-informed visitors. The very elements which differentiate Reddit – the fixtures which make it appealing – will be eliminated.
We implore Reddit to listen to its moderators, its contributors, and its everyday users; to the people whose activity has allowed the platform to exist at all: Do not sacrifice long-term viability for the sake of a short-lived illusion. What does this mean for ThirdSentenceHappy?
Questions and comments are welcome. We have a relatively hands-off approach when it comes to moderation of this community however this issue is just too important to go unaddressed.

Blizzard should just make the entire campaign optional from the very first created character. I've never been so bored and felt so held back in a game before. If this was my first introduction to Diablo and I didn't know the real game begins after level 50 and after the Story then I'd probably drop it. It is BORING. And it's not even just the story, some people may find it interesting enough to want to tackle the 4 different simultaneous paths you need to take to get a story beat. It's the SLOW talking and walking these NPCs engage in. And not the skippable dialog, I'm wearing that B button out on those, it's the casual conversations they are supposed to be having when you walk up. It's the SLOW trudge through the desert as they drag a camel to 15 different checkpoints so that you can listen to them gripe about leaving a pipe behind. And it's also that everything you do has its next leg of the mission across the map for no damned reason. This map is HUGE, which is pretty cool until you have to walk across it getting in fights along the way to go back to tell someone, who's decided they wanted a change of scenery and traveled to the other side of the map, that "plan A didn't work, what now." I finally just passed Act 3 and can move quicker around the map. I feel like I'm playing that race to get Epona in Ocarina of Time now though. Hammering that R trigger. Even dungeons feel unnecessarily long and arduous. Go find 3 of this bauble to open this door, but you can only carry one back at a time even though you've already cleared the entire dungeon. Be prepared to walk back here again after you drop that first pebble off since you apparently don't have any room in your pockets left because of the 30 sets of armor and 74 bottles of elixir you are carrying somewhere in your giant purse. I actually love finding those Cellar icons only because they are quick and fun and you never know if you'll fight a mob or find 3 treasure goblins chilling before they go out and play tag with the next adventurer. Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying this game, as I have every Diablo. But I feel like I was really having fun the first 5 hours as I grew into possible builds and opened up the skill tree. And I know I'm going to have a blast after I knock the rest of these missions out in Act 5 and 6. But the hours in between those targets make this feel so slow and drawn out and artificially elongated. Anyway, just my two cents. I look forward to joining you all in WT3 and 4 soon.

I have worked in education in the past but have moved into quality management and am pretty satisfied with my job/life situation. I’m in the middle of writing a paper for my final, and I’m not sure whether to use cocci or coccus when describing the morphology of my bacterial unknown.

This is my first post concerning AITH but I've been in need of answers to this situation for months
I'm 15 (ftm) and have currently got no friends. This might seem a silly post considering what other people talk about on here, but i really need some outside perspectives.
Five months ago, i stopped talking to my best friend of 7 years (female) ,who I'll call Sophie, my friend of 4 years (female), who I'll call Regan, and two other friends (both female) Lauren and Cathy. I've been feeling like an asshole because I recognise i was the one who stopped talking to them, but am angry that these friends have made no effort to talk to me since I've distanced myself. We all go to the same school, i sit next to Sophie and Cathy every morning in tutor and they're all in various of my classes. When i see them hanging out together in class or outside of class i get really angry and anxious and have no idea why.
My reasoning for distancing myself is because i found out that Sophie and Regan had been dating, and did not tell me. I found out through Lauren, who i had only been friends with for a few months, she has been friends with Regan and Sophie for a couple years, but to my understanding only casually and if they were closer friends i feel i would have known as I've spent my secondary school years with Sophie and Regan. I was offended they hadn't told me they were dating as i couldn't understand why they wouldn't, I am queer and trans openly to them, so homophobia would not have been a concern, and have always been supportive of both of their sexualities. Knowing they had told someone (Lauren) whom i consider not to be as close with them this, it made me quite upset and i started wondering if they didn't trust or like me, or, care enough about me to tell me this. For context, my four years of secondary school I have dipped in and out of friendship groups, but have always remained in contact with at least Sophie, this was because of various mental health problems I've dealt with surrounding my self identity, of which i've hinted towards with Regan and Sophie many times. despite being friends for so many years, I always found it difficult to have any deep or meaningful conversations with either Regan or Sophie. I presumed this was from them both being shy as they've always come across very quiet. Despite this, i did call them my best friends and often tried to instigate meaningful conversations up until this event, after finding out they hadn't told me they were dating, i started to bother them less believing that they didn't trust me or like me enough to share things with me. I've also always felt out of place in our trio, like i previously mentioned i am a trans guy, and they are both wlw females, this was the reason i presumed them to be closer to each other, as well as the time they'd spent together while i was with other friends during my rocky mental health period. In february last year, Lauren told me she liked Sophie, and asked for advice, we weren't close at this time so i did my best to advise her, telling her to speak to Sophie about it, and I told her that Sophie and i didn't talk about that sort of thing, so i couldn't do any more than that. About a week later, Sophie told me Lauren had given her a note or a text or something regarding the matter, and Sophie told me (and Regan who was there) she wasn't interested. Here, i told her that Lauren had messaged me for advice (as i thought it was relevant conversation) and i informed Sophie of what I'd said. We got to talking about why she didn't see Lauren that way and i managed to get out of her that she liked somebody else. It was an ongoing joke between the three of us that Sophie was the most attractive/likeable ect. as she was always asked out in primary school and earlier years by boys despite her being a lesbian. i made a joke along the lines of me and Regan being the single ones. Somehow it came out that they both liked someone, and naturally i asked who, they danced around the subject until i caught on that they liked each other. While walking home with Sophie i tried to have meaningful conversation (since i believed her to be my best and closest friend, so we could discuss these things) about how this situation developed, Sophie was struggling to articulate her words and seemed uncomfortable so i said something along the lines of "Hey, no pressure, If you'd like to talk to someone about it you can always message me if you're finding it hard to discuss right now" and we went our separate ways home. She sent me poorly worded message later that evening about how she'd slowly grown to like Regan and texted her about it, and that Regan had expressed common feelings but was aro/ace. Naturally, being a queer person, i am aware of aro/ace people having relationships, but i'm not going to lie, looking back now i can see how this was her way of telling me they were dating, but it wasn't clear at all, she didnt say dating or exclusive and i was confused as to what Regan's views were on relationships being aro/ace. Anyway, flash forward months of feeling awkward about (sort of) third wheeling everyday (as only the three of us sat together) and them talking about hang outs at weekends i didnt know about, call me ignorant but i didnt realise they were dating, so naturally i was getting self conscious, wondering why they werent inviting me to hang out and such, so i eventually sent a long essay-like text telling them how it made me feel that they'd constantly talk about inside jokes/information/hangouts i didnt know about when we were together and when i inquired about it avoid the question entirely or give a vague answer. They both replied in an apoligetic manner, but they sent short messages that, again, were vague, and left me feeling frustrated. I continued hanging out with them and ,eventually, Cathy who i used to know from one of the other groups i'd been in during previous years. This was because Cathy had been dropped by that same group (as was I) and we'd been asked to try and make friends by my tutor. Sophie and Regan being( what i excused as) awkward people didn't make any effort, but as i'd been friends/acquaintances with Cathy previously, i encouraged them to sit with Cathy and try and make friends. This is when Lauren also started sitting with us, as Regan and Sophie were already friends with her and I had become her friend too. I spent months in this group, feeling like I didn't fit in, not finding the same things funny, conversations always meaningless and feeling like I knew nothing about these people despite the years Id's spent trying to be their friends, and Sophie and Regan still never told me they were dating. My mental health has always been consumed by anxiety and depression and the overthinking every single day I'd walk to school with them, sit with them in class and at breaks, constantly feeling like the odd one out, not getting their jokes was having a big impact on my school work. Along side this, In classes when we were asked to do paired work, Sophie and Regan would always pair up, Lauren would go with her friend who wasn't apart of our group and Cathy wasn't in our classes, when asked to do group work, they'd join up and go as a four, leaving me completely alone. I would stand there, waiting for them to remember they'd left me out and ask the teacher to be a three or invite me to their group, but they never did. It's not like they thought i had other friends in class either, I'd joined their band (band= your class groupings) at the start of year 9 because of transitioning and wanting a fresh start specifically to work with them. Eventually, our school announced a STEM fayre which you could do individually, or in groups of up to three. I was sat next to Lauren and Regan, Sophie and Laurens friend were sat the row in front, directly opposite us. When time came to get it groups, Sophie paired with Regan and Lauren with her friend, I sat their for an hour with them right next to me and in front of me, and they said nothing. They could see I was by myself, I'm certain i didn't look happy, and didn't ask me to join in. You may wonder why i didn't ask them, and I'ts because i presumed after that hour they'd ignored me, they didn't want to work with me and i didn't want to burden them by joining in something that was either a "couples" thing or Lauren with a friend i wasn't close to. Weeks past, and i was getting overwhelmed with the STEM fayre, knowing i'd have to do all this research,decorate a board and eventually stand in a busy hall and present it by myself. We were given 4 months for this project, and in the first two months, i hinted at being stressed, hoping they'd feel sorry for me and invite me to their group, but they never did. So, i started distancing myself, it became unbearable to overthink and feel un-liked everyday around them, and they never asked why, they still see me every day and never ask why i left or how i am or anything. I ended up doing the STEM fayre completely by myself, it was honestly a horrible experience to be stood in a hall of 100 people all in groups/ pairs or with friends there and be completely alone.
That leads to present day where i am still constantly reminded of them and their friendship, I'm angry they get on so well with Cathy despite initially not even wanting to be friends, that they hang out with Lauren and her friends now despite refusing to ever get to know my old group of friends from previous years, but I'm mainly angry at spending 8 years of my life investing in those 2 long friendships with Sophie and Regan for them to not care at all when i leave, and, in fact, be happier since i've stopped being friends with them.
Like I say, It's been five months, so I've had a lot of time to reflect on this, but when i see them post online or see them hanging out at school or in our local area or laugh all sat together in class, i get this awful feeling, which i would call a mix of jealousy and resentment. Some days, I think i hate them, and other days i realise i wasted 8 years of my life trying to force frienships which they clearly didn't want. I honestly think i know these people quite well from the time i spent with them, and don't believe any of their dis-inclusion was done of malicious intent, but i can't help feeling a bit sick when i see them so happy and (now)chatty and confident together, when they were always so quiet and didn't ask to hang out as often as they do with others now, with me . I will admit, I think my metal health has been much better for leaving, I'm not overthinking every interaction and spiralling and hating myself now because I believed they didn't like me or want me around, I'm trying to accept we just aren't suited to be friends, but the lack of closure and crippling loneliness I feel from no longer having any friends has been driving my insane.
Any advice, and can you tell me, AITAH for feeling this way?
any comments on my situation would be appreciated, I've talked about it with everyone in my life but I'm anxious they are biased because of what I've said in fits of rage or when i've broken down crying about the situation, writing this in a clear state of mind i hope will allow for my story to be unbiased and as true as i know.

Hey friends, going to spend the week in Puerto Rico working from down there, just bought a ticket last night for $36, what a steal! Pro tip, you have to wait until its after midnight your time and then you can get a flight in two days, ie. Friday night at 12:05am you can buy tickets for all of Sunday even Sunday night.
Have any of you guys been? Any tips? Im a pretty low budget traveler so I don't like taxis or resorts or anything, I like to keep my costs really low so I can keep going to all these exotic locations my Go Wild pass will get me to. Let me know if you have tips on this beautiful island. I love beaches so thats first and foremost, scooter rentals, boat rides, I need to find a way to get over to that island with wild horses and pink sand! Not that it would really matter with the ginormous amount of people here, but, I still like the idea of setting this sub to private on the 12th, just out of principle.
If you don't know what I'm talking about, there's some information on ModCoord (and some links I'll add once I find them again). But in short, reddit is demanding unreasonable API prices that will kill most (or all) third party reeddit apps, that provide tools for mods, accessibility (for example) for blind people and other things.
It's an absolute shit show and I'm genuinely surprised that they thought they could just get away with this. And also trying to convince people that the creator of Apollo threatened reddit. Too bad he recorded the phone call. Though they're still pretending he threatened them in some way...
Anyways I think I'm starting to rant so I'll stop now.

This subreddit will be joining in on the June 12th-14th protest of Reddit's API changes that will essentially kill all 3rd party Reddit apps.

What's going on?

A recent Reddit policy change threatens to kill many beloved third-party mobile apps, making a great many quality-of-life features not seen in the official mobile app permanently inaccessible to users.
On May 31, 2023, Reddit announced they were raising the price to make calls to their API from being free to a level that will kill every third party app on Reddit, from Apollo to Reddit is Fun to Narwhal to BaconReader.
Even if you're not a mobile user and don't use any of those apps, this is a step toward killing other ways of customizing Reddit, such as Reddit Enhancement Suite or the use of the old.reddit.com desktop interface .
This isn't only a problem on the user level: many subreddit moderators depend on tools only available outside the official app to keep their communities on-topic and spam-free.

What's the plan?

On June 12th, many subreddits will be going dark to protest this policy. Some will return after 48 hours: others will go away permanently unless the issue is adequately addressed, since many moderators aren't able to put in the work they do with the poor tools available through the official app. This isn't something any of us do lightly: we do what we do because we love Reddit, and we truly believe this change will make it impossible to keep doing what we love.
The two-day blackout isn't the goal, and it isn't the end. Should things reach the 14th with no sign of Reddit choosing to fix what they've broken, we'll use the community and buzz we've built between then and now as a tool for further action.

What can you do as a user?

• Complain. Message the mods of /reddit.com, who are the admins of the site: message reddit: submit a support request: comment in relevant threads on /reddit, such as this one, leave a negative review on their official iOS or Android app- and sign your username in support to this post.
  
• Spread the word. Rabble-rouse on related subreddits. Meme it up, make it spicy. Bitch about it to your cat. Suggest anyone you know who moderates a subreddit join the coordinated mod effort at /ModCoord.
  
• Boycott and spread the word...to Reddit's competition! Stay off Reddit entirely on June 12th through the 13th- instead, take to your favorite non-Reddit platform of choice and make some noise in support!
  
• Don't be a jerk. As upsetting this may be, threats, profanity and vandalism will be worse than useless in getting people on our side. Please make every effort to be as restrained, polite, reasonable and law-abiding as possible.
