I don’t even know how many Sebenzas I’ve had at this point, but I keep coming back. If I were a true “collector”, I’d keep this one. Of all the ‘Benzas I’ve had, this one has the best action. Smooth, controlled, and drops hydraulically to the finger. This guy is glass blasted and comes with dual Ti Connector studs, and a stunning Blue Twill CF show scale by Karbadized. I added the speed holes, and did a pretty good job, if I do say so myself. The CF really lightens up the Benza, making it a much better daily carry. No box on this one, sorry. Scales have some minor snails, but nothing a spa day wouldn’t fix. Blade has a very minor scratch that you can see if held in jusssst the right lighting.

This is a tough one to let go. If it weren’t so polished it’d be a keeper, but I don’t do shiny. This knife is just superb. A true example of CNC perfection. The milling is better than any knife I’ve seen. Even the underside of the clip is milled! Easily one of the best actions you'll ever see. The acoustics are also phenomenal.

No box on this one, but it does come with extra hardware. Extreme regret is coming my way for selling this very hard to find beauty.

Although my inner child would love to hear from as many of you as possible , I am aware that the post is disturbing and hence you might prefer to skip it.So, I am going to be ok with whatever comes out of my post.
Summertime is a George Gershwin song, and I do love Janis Joplin 's cover . It's a lullaby, sang for the sake of a crying child ,and it is my comfort song . Summer used to make my Narc-Queen/Witch mother more nervous than usual. We have here, in the Mediterranean area, this hot kind of summer season, sultry and full of blinding light . As a child, I did not like it...School time was over, and I was aware that mom "was not well" during my school holidays.I did not have any other words for her condition apart from "being tired".That's how she used to describe herself, upset by the stuffiness that was aggravating her undiagnosed mental illness. Undiagnosed...Yes, sadly. My efather for once has had taken a stand and brought her to see a doctor, but unfortunately he happened to be a relative...a neurologist (not a psychologist neither a psychiatrist) who was too fast to dismiss the case. Mom made up a scene, declaring that she was just too much of a sensitive woman, happening to be the spouse of a cold hearted man...The guy was misled both by her acting performance and the avoidant style of my dad.
This lead to my horrible situation, where I had to deal alone with the brunt of my mother's "excessive sensitivity". No one cared that a bunch of children had to grow with a openly deranged woman.
So, that day she was tired. The days before she has had told it so many times, arguing with growing agitation with my father.She wailed that she was tired of being alone, of us being too many children (two little ones and an infant), of him hanging out with friends in the evening,of both her domestic work and the garden+vegetable garden up keeping (although me and GC sisters worked as little slaves relentlessly with her in them, GC getting praise and recognition, me, being the elder, just doing "my duty").All of this in an enormous house that SHE insisted to live in for the sake of her grandiose facade.
It was two PM and she wanted me and sister to go to bed...with her. I sensed something was up and really did not want to, but she was adamant about this afternoon nap.
She strangely discarded her bedroom , where my infant little brother was sleeping, and decided that she'd sleep with me in my bed. My sister should stay in hers, next to mine in our bedroom.She obliged me to face the wall and ordered me with harsh, cold voice: "Don't move, keep quiet. You know I am exhausted,I need to rest".
I was trapped. It was hot, the semi-darkness was filled with her body and perfume, yet hers was not a reassuring presence...I already knew about her explosive, unreasonable fits of rage. Immobilized against the wall, my nine years old petite body started to ache.I was scared to change somehow position, as my old iron bed could creak."What if it does and she hits me?" My mind was racing to find an impossible solution...and the worst happened. I could not take it anymore, I stirred a bit... and all Hell broke loose. As I stood lying on my stomach, paralyzed with terror, a hail of punches hit my head and my back.A screeched "I-have-told-you-not-to-make-noise-you-fucking-little-shit" set the pace of the beating.I lost both my breath and consciousness for some seconds that lasted an eternity, then I "come back" to reality and she was hitting me still...She had not even realized that I have fainted, as I was shocked into silence.Then, she got off the bed swearing at her misfortune for having to live such a horrible life with horrible people and went for her own business somewhere in the house.I looked after my terrorized GC sister,lying to her that I was ok, then went, groggy and still in pain, to the bathroom, in order to check my head and back , and to hide from the lunatic.During the day my back become blue with bruises and some bumps popped up on my head, but the damage was not in plain sight and plus no one saw anything wrong with my upset face so, you know..."Summertime... and the living is easy... We have att, and they sent us two wifi extenders which…are junk. They dont even work in the actual house, let alone reach the MIL Suite. The att modem/router is going to now be their bgw320 device. So the modem against the interior wall that is directly facing the MILs. You can see from one to the other through the windows of each. I know it’s possible to drill a hole from one wall to the other and run an ethernet cable directly from house to MIL’s, though idk the specifics of how to.
Now I am seeing things like TPlink point to point systems, and reading about them, they dont seem complex, but there are lots of options which add to the complexity I guess. They seem cheap enough.
Is some sort of tplink devices a good set up?
Do i need one TP device going from the modem/router and another TP device in the MILs, or is one TP device broadcasting the signal only needed?
Can these be mounted to the exterior walls of the home, and MIL if needed?
And even if mounted outdoors, would it still be best to have a wired connection coming from the TP device closest to the MIL suite? Thanks for any input!

I want to share my work and also tell about some of my thoughts on this project and gamedev in general. Links to the game and its source are at the very end.
TL;DR: While I kind of like this project, I think it was not worth the time and I would be better off doing smaller projects that resonate with me more. That's exactly what I will be doing from now on. I will learn more this way and just be more happy overall.
This is my (not so)little hobby project, named Genesis Constructa. I did it primarily just to learn some specifics of making games for mobile platforms in Unity. It was a very fun and challenging experience, but it's not all roses and unicorns...

Development

I drew my inspiration from different sources. Gameplay is inspired by Moon Pioneer, in fact, it started out as a clone of Moon Pioneer, but I wanted to be a bit more original, plus I wouldn't be able to replicate all of the Moon Pioneer's features and mechanics. For art style, I looked up to a game called Beacon - a 3rd-person rogue-lite with a great low-poly art style, also made in Unity. The player model is based on EVE from the movie WALL-E, don't know why I picked it as a ref though xD
I used Unity with the following packages and plugins: Odin for a lot of inspector stuff, Shapes to draw some UI elements and visualize world-space areas, DOTween for pretty much all the animations, my own plugin named Icons Creator to make icons of the buildings and items, and some other assets for minor things. I used Blender to make models, Audacity to edit some sounds, and Asana for project management. Also, I want to mention my friend's water shader, it's looking pretty good and very easy to use.
Probably the most challenging areas of the project were stack zones and interactions between them, which is the main mechanic, the save system that saves the entire state of the game, and the game design, which I suck at. Also, modeling was kinda difficult because it was almost my first time doing it. The hardest problem though was the sheer amount of work itself that I didn't realize I had to do. I absolutely enjoyed doing programming, as it is my favorite part of development.

My thoughts

The project turned out to be much bigger and harder than I anticipated. One of the many lessons I learned working on this project is to make sure you really want to do the project before fully committing to it and to not be afraid to abandon it if you can't find a way to make it enjoyable to play. It was hard for me to determine if the mobile game I am working on is good or not from the gameplay perspective, just because I don't enjoy mobile games in general and lack the mobile gaming experience. But I did it anyway because most of the jobs in gamedev, especially entry-level, are mobile development, also I like this sci-fi space theme, and it's still a gamedev after all, so even if it wasn't my dream project, I did enjoy doing it nevertheless.
Now imagine, if it would be the project that would align with my interests. Even if it would require the same amount of work to make it, I would probably finish it faster, just because I would be much more willing to spend my time on it. Then I could make another one, with a different set of mechanics, genre, art style, tech, etc. I would learn much more in the same time I spent on this project. You see, when you are doing one project for long enough, at some point you will start to stagnate. You will be working with the same constraints and tech stack, some things can and will change for sure, but the core will most certainly stay the same unless there will be some dramatic overhauls.
The game is probably not polished enough/was released prematurely. There are two things I failed to do:

• Optimize the game to make it run at 60 fps. The biggest bottleneck is rendering.
• Add a glow effect and additional lights to some objects. This problem kinda tied in with the first one. I could fake those effects though.

And you may encounter a couple of visual bugs, but nothing serious. I just want to move on and make other games. It was not intended to be a successful game that would bring me any money or fame, it was a learning experience in the first place, so I'm happy with the result. But, as always, I overestimated my abilities and the project got beyond acceptable time frames, though I did take a couple of long breaks, didn't work on it at a desirable pace, and just wasn't committed enough to this project in general, so it's understandable, I guess.
The source is available on GitHub. It's far from perfect, but perhaps, there will be something useful or interesting.

What's next?

I am thinking about doing 2 types of projects:

• Tiny, atomic projects for learning purposes, that would be solely focused on the concept or technology I am learning, just to get the idea of what it is and how to apply it. I will spend no more than 1-2 weeks on them. These projects will also improve my skills of just making games from start to end, even if they will be not that good
• "Dream" projects for doing the games I really want to do and I will be serious about them. These projects will be longer, I will be doing some marketing and playtesting with real players for them, something I didn't do for my previous projects. I will try to keep the projects under the 6 months time span, because I am not ready to spend several years on one project, not yet at least. Even though these games will be quite small, they will be very polished and well-designed to the best of my ability. Later, when I will be considering doing big games, I will probably just join or assemble a team, because doing huge, time-consuming projects alone is extremely hard and risky.

Surely, I will learn more from the bigger projects, but if I will need to learn something specific, the tiny ones will be better for this.
Right now I am working on an experimental PC game, that I started making during one of my breaks from the development of this project. It sits kind of in between those 2 categories. It has a simple art style with point rendering and edge outlines, a bit of raymarching to draw fractals, procedural terrain generation, and I want to make it a multiplayer experience, so I am trying to add networking, which is much harder than I initially thought :/ Once the multiplayer part will be done, I'll polish it a bit and will try to do some marketing. Depending on the people's interest I will either just finish what I've planned for this project or in addition to that implement some ideas from the backlog. Anyway, this will be a fun experience for me.

5 years ago I didn't have an iPhone, but what I did have was an appetite for well-made apps.
I saw the trailer of apollo somewhere and got amazed by the simplicity and usefulness of the app. I loved the subreddit switcher feature so much that I downloaded nearly every client on play store.
Guess what/ None of the apps had it. So what I did was made a makeshift reddit web /mobile viewer that is simple and resembles some ui and features of apollo and used it until I got an iPhone.
As soon as I got an iPhone, Apollo was the firs IAP I made and have been using it as my primary client since day 1.
Now with the new API changes I don't know how long their "public" API will be public but until then I have uploaded the Makeshift reddit web viewer to Github, you can use it here -> (open source, no ads, no tracking, no login etc) or download the public folder from Github and run on your computer locally(which I have been doing for the last 4 years).
I didn't name it anything before because I didn't intend to release it to the public but when Github asked for a name for the repo and I had to name it something, so I did.
Also props to christian for setting up a standard for ios apps and without Apollo's influence, I often wonder if my interest in iOS development would have ever ignited.

We're considering schools A and B, which are both Montessori schools with immersion language programs.
Our son is 3 years old. He currently goes to a daycare 2 days/week and has a nanny 3 days/week. We originally had him in daycare 4 days/week, but when we observed him there, he seemed very unhappy and withdrawn. He still says that daycare is "not good". (I'm not sure why, because the teachers and other students seem perfectly lovely!) However, he loves being with his Brazilian nanny. She's taught him how to befriend other kids, share, and set boundaries. Also practical skills like putting on clothes, gardening, doing the dishes, etc.
Our son can read all of his numbers and letters, and I've been working with him on phonics. His #1 skill is disassembling stuff and putting it back together. He speaks languages: English, Bisaya (with me), and Portuguese (with nanny). He also likes listening to music and singing.
We fell in love with School A the day we toured it. They really value independence and practical life skills, and they offer Spanish immersion and a strong art + Kodaly music program. The kids all cook together (with real knives) every week, and by age 6 they go on international field trips without their parents. However, the class sizes are a bit larger (12 kids for 1 teacher) and all the kids go for 5 days/week. I think our son would thrive there academically, but I'm worried that he might struggle socially or start regressing. Also, A feels a bit... elitist.
B is a two-block walk away from our house. They have a Mandarin immersion classroom. More than independence / practical life, they emphasize peace education and teaching kids to embrace each other's differences. They also have a Kodaly program. In terms of academics and teacher qualifications, B seems a bit weaker than A all around. But the student:teacher ratio is 6:1, and the schedules are more flexible (with 2-day or 3-day options).
We can either enroll our son in A 5 days/week, or ease him into Montessori by doing B for 3 days / nanny 2 days. We are currently thinking the latter is our best option, but worried he's missing out by not going to A. We are also thinking that we might still enroll him in A a year from now, once we see how he adapts to Montessori.

Has Lego ever considered the idea of having a harder set of instructions?
Something that doesn’t give a clear picture on how a section is built etc. leaves it to the individual to figure it out.
I feel like this would be highly appealing to most of the Lego demographic. Creates a more rewarding experience and lengthens your time with the build.

I’m trying to remember all the Two Hot Take stories I listen to to make sure I write this all correctly for the redditors (first time redditor here) Okay so I recently found out my boyfriend didn’t have me on his close friends list on instagram which isn’t that big of a deal for me until I found out WHO was on his close friends list. I was catching up with an old friend talking about life, work, & boyfriends when she mentioned her ex had a problem with instagram. The usual “follows too many ig models”, “doesn’t post me”, “always liking thirst traps” etc etc. I was telling her I don’t have that problem anymore because I set boundaries with him before; he was way more popular than I was and had a bigger following than normal for me (over 1k followers/following and mostly all woman) I told him what’s made me uncomfortable on social media aka the liking the thirst traps/following onlyfans models/etc and he ended up doing none of that which I appreciated. My friend than proceeded to ask me if I know who’s on my boyfriend’s Close Friends list because her ex would also post things on his Close Friends that were totally not okay for someone in a relationship. I told her “no” and she told me I should find out because it would surprise me. At first I laughed because my boyfriend and I are madly in love with each other and I would never think he would do something so sneaky and out of character. But than I remember something that happened at work… One day one of my coworker’s (btw my bf and I work at the same place) mentioned that she saw my boyfriend’s story and told me she felt his pain since she went through something similar (his mom, who’s not in his life, passed away unexpectedly and he posted a very sincere post to his Close Friends about it) and I never saw it on my instagram. I realized he must’ve posted to his Close Friends and thought to myself he didn’t want to seem too sad about the situation so he took me off his Close Friends list to post it. I went over to his house after I hung out with my friend and I couldn’t stop thinking about the whole “do you know who’s on your man’s Close Friends list?” because I seriously had no idea who he would have on there. Honestly this is where the demon on my shoulder won and while he fell asleep, I looked through his phone… All I wanted to see was who was on his list so I go and check and well… all girls… but mostly girls I KNOW he would find attractive or have tried advancing before me and him ever got together. My stomach twisted and I just started silently crying in his bed. I know these girls names because they’ve been mentioned in our relationship before so seeing them on his Close Friends list made me feel so sick. He KNOWS how I would feel if I knew who he chose to be on his Close Friends. It kind of feels like a slap in the face. Like what else could he be hiding from me? I don’t know what to do. I don’t want to bring up that I looked through his phone while he was sleeping because I know how violating that is and I know he’s just going to miss the entire point and just blame me for having trust issues and not asking him first instead of going behind his back. How can I bring this up to him without him twisting it onto me? Or should I suck it up and just deal with it silently since I did a bad thing and went through his phone to find out. Please help me out. I don’t know what to do and it’s making me feel so weird.

I'm looking for help understanding the trade-offs and options of wireless HDMI vs "wireless audio" for my theater setup.
For context, I've got a set of 5.1 speakers setup already (wired, good to go) with the receiver in the front of my theater room. The ceiling is ~25 feet, as it is exposed to the second floor via a wrap-around balcony that looks down on the space. I'm placing a projector on the ground of the second floor pointing at the wall, and am trying to understand how best to connect the speakers with the projector, given they are about 16 ft apart laterally, and another ~15 feet vertically. I plan to use an Apple TV 4K as my main source.
Ideally, this would work wirelessly, to avoid the cabling required up a wall.
One option is to place the Apple TV 4K with the audio at the front of the room on the ground floor, use SPIF for audio to the 5.1 speakers, and beam the HDMI video signal up to the second floor projector. This seems ok, but means I'm generally capped at 4K/30hz, and hard to say how well this will work in practice.
Another option would be to put the Apple TV up by the projector and use a HDMI cable, and someone wireless transmit just the audio feed down to the speakers. However, I'm having trouble finding devices that do this wireless transmission of audio, or knowing exactly what to search for - it's unclear what this is even called or how common it is?
I have to imagine it's way easier to transmit audio wireless than high bandwidth video, so the second option seems preferable (though remote control of the Apple TV seems problematic if it's on the second floor behind the couch...).
Would love help from folks validating my model approach here, and in particular with suggestions about using the second approach (if it's feasible).

He doesn’t want me I’ve accepted that. But my brain likes to randomly think of future photos of us together or doing random things then I go as well maybe if he messaged me we could work it out. Then I have to tell myself no we don’t want that. I suppose I’m still irritated with how he can say so much and then just do the opposite like I didn’t matter so maybe it’s validation I’m wanting but still. I hate even thinking of him I hate missing him he left me high and dry and I am just ranting kind of but I wish there was a turn off button of wanting his validation.

I [24M] don't even know where to begin. It all started back in February 2018, when fate brought us together through a mutual friend. Let's call her Rose. We connected over the phone and eventually on Facebook. At first, our conversations were casual, and I found myself texting her constantly while she responded sporadically. But despite the uncertainty, we kept talking. We were both in Delhi at the time, she in her first year of MBBS and I, a dropper preparing for NEET coaching. In my heart, I knew I had to meet her, so I lied to my parents, telling them I was taking a mock test, and traveled back to Delhi to see her for the first time. The problem was, Rose was still struggling to get over a past relationship that had ended eight months prior. Nevertheless, I persisted, pouring my heart and soul into making her happy. We grew closer with each passing day, even though our relationship was long distance. On May 6th, 2018, a day before I was set to return to my hometown in Jharkhand, she said yes, and we embarked on what I thought would be a wonderful journey together. We were both serious about our relationship, but perhaps she was even more committed than I was. I adored showering her with gifts, like the guitar she loved or the letters I would send her in her hostel. I wanted to help her explore her fashion sense and see her blossom. Over time, she transformed from a 5/10 to an 8/10 in my eyes. Everything seemed perfect, and our bond grew stronger. In January 2019, we met again and shared our first kiss—a passionate moment that left an indelible mark on both of us.
Life took a turn when I moved to Mumbai in July 2019. The stress of adapting to a new city, coupled with my deteriorating mental health, started to take a toll on our relationship. I battled anxiety and depression, and ANOTHER girl from my school started texting me and we ended up being together in long distance relationship for 6 months. Rose remained oblivious to this, and I still carry the guilt and regret of not telling her the truth.
Then came the COVID-19 lockdown, which exacerbated the tensions within my family. My strict father, who struggled to bridge the generation gap, added to the pressure I felt about my career. Anxiety consumed me, and the weight of everyday life became an unbearable burden. Although Rose was always there for me, supporting and loving me, I began questioning our relationship. It was on March 26th, 2022, after four long years, that I made the heart-wrenching decision to break it off. I felt a strange mix of relief and guilt. We didn't communicate much for a month, as she was busy with her hospital internship. But for me, the absence only made the void in my heart grow. I realized my mistake and began texting her in May 2022, hoping for another chance. She had moved on, yet we agreed to meet one last time in Delhi. It was during this meeting that we shared an uncomfortable sexual experience, leaving us both with regret. The struggle continued as I oscillated between wanting to convince her to get back together and succumbing to anxiety and doubt when she agreed. This pattern repeated several times. Then, in August 2022, I moved to Bangalore, only to find out that she had started dating someone else from her college. The news triggered me, and I found it hard to breathe, consumed by anxiety attacks. I turned to alcohol and smoking as unhealthy coping mechanisms. I would often drunk dial her, desperately seeking solace. Ultimately, my actions caused their relationship to crumble. She pleaded with me to seek therapy, but I foolishly demanded that she end things with her new partner before I would consider it. To my wonder, she did broke up with that guy for me. But I used to annoy her by drunk dialing her. It was a terrible mistake, and she decided to block me in December 2022. I lost control and spiraled further into a whirlwind of emotions, losing weight rapidly. After some time, I managed to request that she unblock me, and we started to rebuild our connection. I kept my distance, refraining from calling or texting excessively, but she never left my thoughts. Even now, in June 2023, I find myself unable to move on. Every day, I regret the decision to end our relationship.
Reddit, I'm lost. I don't know what to do. I understand that I can't force her to come back to me, but I can't shake off the memories and feelings I have for her. She is becoming more beautiful with each passing day, and it tears me apart. How do I cope with the regret and pain? Is there any hope for redemption? Any advice or words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

I initially tried programs like OpenShell and StartIsBack to modify my Windows 11 to look more like Win7 or XP, and I tried different ways to approach that. None of the free programs changed my taskbar, expect something called RetroBar (and OpenShell only adding it's logo to the corner of the taskbar).
I tried WindowBlinds11 30-day trial and every theme I applied did change things like the "titlebars" of programs and the colors of file explorer and task manager, etc. I would've liked that, but WindowBlinds didn't modify my taskbar at all. I even tried it by combining OpenShell, but it still didn't allow me to change the look of the taskbar.
I ended up uninstalling OpenShell, WindowBlinds and all these UI-altering programs. I still noticed, that certain areas of Windows, like notification boxes when deleting a file from the trashbin or the background color in registry editor had changed to a brown-ish color, when it should be white by default and always has been. (I think this color had been associated with a WindowBlinds -theme I had tried earlier)
I Googled this and someone had recommended the "Purge" command to undo these changes by Stardock. I purged and rebooted, nothing happened. I reinstalled WindowBlinds, applied the default theme, then purged, rebooted and nothing happened...
So, I had a System Restore -point, that was created when first installing OpenShell a few days earlier (I believe this was before I had installed or tried WindowBlinds). So I reverted Windows back to that point and nothing else had changed, expect that the background color in these different Windows -boxes was now blue (this was similar or the same color as the "accent color" that had been chosen in 'Settings > Personalization > Colors', although the option "Show accent colors on tile bars and windows borders" had been unchecked.
As an example, I just chose an ordinary picture of regedit (from the internet), and as an reference just added the color change in Paint, like so.
It's not the correct color I'm seeing, but just an example. And also, in my reference pic, there's an upper bar that has "Name", "Type" and "Data" in the colored area, which is actually still remained white.
How should I fix this, is this even Stardocks/WindowBlinds fault, is there an easy fix for this or what?
